    Hey.

If Bets plays her cards right, she just might get a free, all expense paid trip to Paris.

And there might be some major future business opportunities in that for the two of them. Especially if they hook up with Simone, CEO of Souffle.

But barring that, these two “besties” can always compromise and attend a local comics con.

Back in the good old Pre-COVID days, Greg and Karen used to frequent the San Diego Comics Con in July.

Not sure if the 2021 Con is going to happen this year.

    A pity.

It would give Tiff and Bets a chance to “meet their makers.” :)

Tiffany. You don’t expect others to change. You can’t. You only can change YOURSELF. It is ok if besties have different interests and it’s even true for any guy you like. Just be yourself and work a compromise if someone wants different things – such as Bets wanting to go to cosplay in Tokyo and you want an Haute Couture show in Paris. You two can go to both places. Who said you have to choose only one destination? Perhaps you are not into cosplay but you know you could get into it – you once played Zeye, didn’t you? Perhaps Bets isn’t into Haute Couture but she is interested in fashion for cosplay so she might see some fashion that is unique or SciFi. and run wild with her imagination.

Well with Bets smarts, social media presence, and comic con there is a real basis to combine with Tiffany’s fashion sense, contacts in that world, capitalists’ orientation, and huge venue, something is bound to arise.

Cosplay is constructing costumes designed for unrealistically over-proportioned superheroes, while haute couture is constructing costumes for unrealistically under-proportioned supermodels. They are essentially the same thing for different audiences.

Do friends talk about their bidet experiences? I wouldn’t think so, any more than they’d be likely to discuss their paper-related, non-bidet options. I’ve never had a friend bust out with, “Hey, I’ve got a bidet anecdote for ya!”

Tiffany could change and go to Tokyo with Bets. See these two cosplaying some characters of “One Piece” or “My Hero Academy” would be amazing. I’m pretty impressed that someone in the US has a bidet. In Europe (Italy and France) people are crazy about it. There are fanatics who treat it as the highest point of civilization, but it’s not that incredible. Although I must admit, living without it seems so strange to me. Kudos to G&K to talking about it.

Curious as to why so much time and effort was put into developing Tiffany’s character beyond the bubble brain narcissist she was in her younger days only to seemingly act like it never happened as she’s back to her high school persona . To me the more nuanced Tiffany was more interesting and better for the storylines then the one dimensional version they have begun using again .

It is nice to see them portray two characters actually being friends instead of enemies pretending to be friends like Luann and Bernice, but okay I get it, they are rich, the house is huge, they have lots of bathrooms, they can afford to travel. Let’s see if the writer sees a need to continue the “I’m rich” inventory through the end of the week while the supposed school assignment never gets worked on.

The pairing of opposites is one of the things Greg does. He could be signaling these differences to reinforce that they will be paired up in the future.

Also, I think the Gunther-Bets pairing is running out of steam. GnK don’t seen to know where to go with it from here. They played the hook-up card. They played the pushy Bets vs. the reserved Gunther card. Where do they go from here for drama? An argument? Jealousy? Breakup? Engagement??? Remember that they put Brad and Toni thru a breakup episode in their relationship.

There was a pretty large anime convention in Paris back in the Before Times, and since the Luannverse is not acknowledging real world events, it stands to reason it’s still going on. Tiffany can go do her stuff during the day, Betts could do hers, and they could hang out at night.

You know, one of the biggest gripes women have about the men who they decide are simply not worth dating is when those men behave as if they have the right to define the women. Invariably, the way it is done is self-serving for the men and treats the women as if they are less than complete and complex humans with the right to define themselves.

With Tiffany and Bets we have often have managed to see that turned on its head. Bets has repeatedly tried to mold Gunther, and often in ways that ignore what Gunther himself happens not only to want but even to need, and now we are seeing Tiffany trying to mold Bets.

I do not know how many people will learn from that part of the arc, but I hope that it is more than a few.

Late to the party due to travel, but the thought occurs to me that given Bet’s geek interests, she’d probably be familiar with the funky toilets of Japan… where modern Bidets are all the rage… hot water cleaning, perfume, warmed seats, even warm air dryers for your bottom…

In modern Japan, often the toilet is the most expensive seat in the house…
