And jealousy. I seems it’s always like this. It’s like I can’t have anyone over.

Random thoughts, in order of basis in reality…

There are worse things he could do to get attention. At least he isn’t digging around in the trash.

And I thought the dog getting a can of beer out of the fridge was impressive.

If my dog walked through the living room on his hind legs, playing a bass drum, I would call his agent, and let the agent give him the attention he craves. Also, I’d be rich, for as long as the gravy train was on the tracks.

“He’s just doing that to get attention.”

    And it’s working.

So that’s what they are saying when they make those odd noises while wagging their tails and giving me the sad eyes—thanks for the translation!

One of my cats will delay breakfast in order to go out for a walk with me. If you have a quiet area, like a cul-de-sac, some cats will tag along. They like to see interesting things in the neighborhood while you provide “high cover”. My present cat won’t go farther than a block but I have had some who would go with me to explore a whole neighborhood within a three-block radius.

If he needs some attention that badly, by all means pay him some attention! It won’t bankrupt your heart. Both humans can pay the dog some attention; they’ll still be paying attention to each other. And it may even impress the one they’re cuddling with.

This morning, our little doggie was in desperate need of some extra attention. She will come next to your chair and stand with her back to you, then tilt her head and lean it back — just under your hand, of course. All you have to do is wiggle your fingers and she gets a good skritch. Your can just hear her saying “I’m a pet, so PET ME!”

Mine sleeps under the covers with me. Keeps me warm. I am not sure when she kicks me if she wants attention or a rabbit.

Man with dog: My dog can talk.

Agent: Yeah I bet. Let’s see.

Man to dog: What’s on top of the house?

    Dog: Roof.

Man: Who’s the greatest baseball player?

    Dog: Ruth.

Agent: Thanks. Don’t call us; we’ll call you.

    (They go outside)

    Man: What happened?

Dog: Well, I wasn’t gonna say Mickey Mantle !!

I get annoyed by those invites but once I get started chasing my dog we end up exhausted and ready for a few pieces of kibble……it always ends well.

My dachshund Scrappy, whacks his tail against my conga drums when he wants attention; it’s really loud.
