I MUCH prefer living where the precipitation usually carries itself away, even if sometimes that means some flooding.

Love snow as long as it is white and fluffy and the roads are clear.

Much more tolerant of snow now that I am retired and don’t have to get out in to go to work. Lawn care I hire out to stimulate the economy.

I’d rather mow the yard than shovel snow any old day. Once the lawn is mowed, the job is done. But you shovel the snow and the snowplow comes by and it fills in the driveway (and sometimes throws snow back on the sidewalk) and you have to shovel out again. And this time, it’s hard packed snow that got pushed into the driveway.

I don’t mow my lawn very often – not like a neighbor who mows once a week. I do it more like every 3 weeks, if that.

Spring is best – no grass, no leaves, no snow. (Though I do pride myself on having the driest ice-free sidewalk in the neighborhood).

We don’t have a lawn and rarely get any snow, but I’ve probably put a ton of oak leaves and branches in the Mixed Organics bin so far this Fall.

The snow doesn’t need shoveling. She needs it shoveled.

I hate the years with an early snow that needs shoveling followed by a warm up that leads to having to mow again. Insult added to injury.

I wish, I can hardly wait to try my new 3-Stage souped up snow thrower-blower. It’s supposed to throw my snow across the street onto my neighbor’s yard.

Earl be careful on shoveling at your age. Where I live at we had our first time of snow last week, where I live little over inch and next day disappeared, further west varied from 4" to 7" next day or 2 days gone, ground still warm.

Earl should be old enough to play the age card on this one. You shouldn’t shovel snow if you are over 40.

I feel the same way Earl…I HATE mowing and always have. And the older I get, the more it takes out of me to do it. That’s a plus about winter, plus we rarely get snow here.
