Tяцmp☠ WANTS that 100,000 number to be invisible, because he doesn’t want any witnesses to the most egregious abdication of responsibility and dereliction of duty in history.

Most all of that 100,000 number — at least 86% of it — is due directly to Tяцmp☠’s malfeasance.

Compare with South Korea, which had its first confirmed case of COVID-19 (aka Tяцmp☠ virus, aka COVFEFE-45) the SAME DAY as the first case in the United States, so the same starting line.

South Korea has many large, densely populated cities (Seoul has more people than New York City, in a smaller area), with five cities that have more than a million people, and several more close to it, had its first confirmed case of community transmission the same day as the U.S. it jumped immediately into action, with massive TESTING to IDENTIFY cases (including asymptomatic), ISOLATE positive cases, do extensive CONTACT TRACING and TARGETED, narrowly-focused QUARANTINING.

As a result, South Korea’s death rate from COVID-19, equalized to a per capita comparison basis, is FIVE per million of population and holding steady. The U.S. death rate is 304 per mission of population and still rising.

The U.S. has 4% of the world’s population but 29% of the total world deaths.

Everything over the world average can be attributed directly to Trump. That would come to less than 14,000 people instead of 100,000. So 86,000 excess deaths go to Trump.

And when the unexplained pneumonia deaths are rightfully attributed to Covid-19, he’ll have a much large number much to the delight of the extreme right-wing faction that has been trying to discredit/disable/destroy our government — our constitutional democratic republic — for decades and replace it with authoritarianism … by maneuvering a blithering egomaniac into the White House.

100,000 deaths mean absolutely nothing to Trump. He’s convinced his MAGAt morons not to care because they see that he doesn’t. Trump has pulled down his dunce cap over his eyes and it full speed lunacy ahead. Besides, he’s already declarer victory over the virus. Trump only travels the great leadership, adoration, a$$ kissing, super highway. The losers are stuck with it’s your fault anyway dirt road.

Pastor Charles Obadiah “Chuck” Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship in Montana, anti-vax, anti-Zionist, tells his flock not to be worry about the Corona virus. “If it’s not a hoax, the virus is being used as a completely exaggerated, super-hyped, super-inflated psychological ops campaign against the American people – a coordinated full-court press of intimidation and fear-mongering by government, the mass media and the CDC.” This pastor is just one of the many RW religious people that aren’t afraid of “the invisible enemy” and equate it to demons that can be expelled through faith.

They’re all coming out of the woodwork.

And on another note a study says that over 50 percent of the tweets on twitter about the virus are coming from bots of unknown origin, but suspected to be coming from Eastern Europe to confuse the West. China and Russia have engaged in psychological warfare in the third world to implant the idea that the virus originated at Fort Derrick and that a visitor from Hawaii brought it to China to attack China.

Warning! The following is in very bad taste:

To extend the basic idea of this cartoon, an anti-Trump campaign ad would show the so-called Wartime President backdropped by a parody of the 20th Century Fox production logo — “21st Century Fox,” with searchlights picking out incoming Covid-19 Virus balls. The display of 3D monolithic monotype would be accompanied by the fanfare theme in minor-key dirge style. (Apology to new-owner Disney.)

The Paramount Pictures logo could also be parodied, re-titled “Bare-Amount.” Skulls circle the peak, that rises to a graph height of the current 100,000 deaths. (Paramount probably doesn’t deserve this parody, so — Apologies.)

And then there’s (again, Apologies) the MGM Lion — Trump as the Lyin’ Lion doing his Twitter roars as he displays his trademark smirk. And … the Tri-Star white horse, replaced by Trump as a centaur, gallops towards the camera, turns around, lifts his tail and …

Just wait. He’ll make the arguments that the number would be immeasurably higher if not for his prompt actions to ban travel from China, rushed PPE to states, suggested shelter-in-place orders, and put all U.S. resources into implementing an effective testing program. Or, more likely, he won’t say anything at all about all the deaths as he could care less about them.

@DD I was amazed to discover that in 1918 over 250 thousand Americans passed and 200 thousand passed in that October. W.W. Wilson never mentioned the epidemic and implemented the sedition act to silence the press and public officials sighting national security in the war effort, even as he was infected and nearly died. Don is on A-hole par.

Well, you have to see this from Trump’s, and thus the GOP’s, point of view: it’s 100,000 fewer Democratic voters. How do they know they were all Democrats? Republicans wouldn’t be caught dead with a fake disease like Covid-19.

The GOP has a ‘death wish’ and is ‘pulling out all the stops to do unpopular things’: political scientists

“Top Republicans in Washington are pulling out all the stops to do unpopular things and avoid doing popular things,” they write. “Their main proposals — more tax cuts for the rich, corporate legal immunity, pushing the post office into bankruptcy — have strikingly little support… Meanwhile, they are resisting highly popular measures, such as additional relief for states, localities and ordinary workers, that would almost certainly increase their likelihood of holding onto power this fall.”

Hacker and Pierson call this development “genuinely scary” and say the GOP might figure that it can hold on to power in a polarized environment despite pushing a politically toxic agenda.

The problem is that the innate carnival barker in Trump is now meeting the auctioneer in him: “I have 100,000! Do I hear 101,000? Do I hear 150,000? These dead people are hardly USED, folks! Do I hear 200,000? Straight from China, people, by way of the rest of the world. And my daughter and I KNOW our China! Do I hear 300,000?”

And, yes, my comment is in bad taste, but the reality is actually pretty near to it.

Here’s hoping that somebody in the White House starts whispering in the right ear about all the money to be made on the lecture circuit: “A million dollars a speech! Every time! All over the country! They’ll eat it up, all the adoring fans! Thunderous applause, shouts of hosannas, women fainting, strong men weeping! The adulation, the glory! And no work at all, the only thing you need to do is stand there, open your mouth, and let whatever bullshit’s on your mind at that moment come spilling out, unfiltered, the same thing you do every day anyway. Why, it’s a total dream job for somebody with your qualifications!”
