Now’s the time to make a grab for the batteries. Or walk over and pull the plug on the system.

Temporary solution: Pull the plug. For a permanent fix, use wire cutters.

Remote may not have batteries, but TV and video game both have a plug! And there’s a circuit breaker that controls them all.

My parents had ONE TV and my father wanted to watch sports and my mother didn’t, so I got him his own TV one Christmas. They would never do that.

That was a dark era indeed, when video games needed a TV to play…..

I see a lot of “Roger needs to take charge,” here, but let me offer a conflicting viewpoint:

When it comes to maturity, I think Roger knows that watching Sports is on-par as Jason’s video games. It’s not right to kick his kid off the TV just because he’s the dad, when his use of the TV is no more valid than Peter’s or Paige’s would be. They obviously have some house rules for first-come, first-serve, so Roger will just have to wait until Jason is done.

That said, the REAL grown-up thing to do would be to go buy another TV for a man-cave or their bedroom.

Roger, take advantage of the pre-game tv sales and buy another tv.

Son, pause your game, or you’ll lose it when I shut it off. Now give me those batteries. That was funny…once only.

this is where parental authority kicks in, you walk up and turn the console off, if the kid didn’t want to lose a massive amount of in game progress he should have responded to him instead of being a passive aggressive brat.

A Gatling gun eh? Hand crank, steam or electric powered? Solid shells or HE plasma? The Tesla Bazooka is quite a power house. Fires balls of HEP at targets. The contact is devastating to the target. The discharge is powerful all at the target. Heat and electricity at once. Too bad no one has built one yet.

I was fortunate. Just about the time my son was getting into video games he found a free TV on the side of the road. The only thing wrong with it was the receiver no longer worked. You couldn’t change channels. He brought it home and used it until he got a job and could afford to replace it himself.

Is Roger going to get desperate enough to get Jason his own TV so he can play elsewhere?

While I was teaching when I first heard the joke, “The teachers are afraid of the principal, the principal is afraid of the superintendent, the superintendent is afraid of the Board of Ed., the Board of Ed. is afraid of the parents, the parents are afraid of their kids, the kids aren’t afraid of anyone” I thought it was humorous – until I realized it wasn’t a joke.
