Seriously folks, this is really lame. Guess they have time to kill. Instead of giving us a competent story we get foolishness like this!

Good Halloween week, everybody!

I used to have a whole book of Charles Addams cartoons. I’m not sure if I still have it, but I enjoyed them.

Is that actually Cousin Floyd in the picture? The characters never had names in the print cartoons. The names came with the TV show.

Where’s Uncle Fester?

Over the past two weeks, my daughters had me see the new animated movie and the two Barry Sonenfeld live versions from the 90’s, the second one just tonight. The new one’s fine, but already thought beforehand it couldn’t match the great cast in the live ones – Raul Julia, Anjelica Houston, Christopher Lloyd, Christina Ricci.

Okey-Dokey. I’ll wait for Ray, Tsull and the boys on this.

Did you know?Charles Addams drew cartoons faster than THE NEW YORKER published them, so he had a big reserve pile at the time of his death, and the magazine continued to publish his originals for a couple more years! (Very Addamsian…)

This just became my favorite Dick Tracy strip! Just wish they had room to draw in Uncle Fester.

Nice vacation from the usual fare to get us in a holiday vibe!

With apologies to those who seem to like this, I will go on record as being disappointed and just a little irritated. Mike, will you please stop indulging yourself with all this crossover stuff, and concentrate on giving us a good Dick Tracy story!

This story has been pretty good, with elements like death traps that are quite Gouldian. But right in the middle, you break in for this silliness? Come on! You’ve wasted yet another Sunday. I really thought I would see Tracy in action, responding to whatever came in over his wrist device yesterday. Instead, this unrelated “tribute” shows up. The Sunday page has not been separate from the weeklies since the very first strips in the 1930s. Stop it, already!

This is just AWESOME! It’s the perfect crossover before Halloween.There are many things to investigate in that house, I hope they will stay there again next Sunday

Actually, I was hoping Lurch would grab Tracy’s hat and crumple it up like Ted Cassidy always did in the TV show – accompanied by Uhhhhhhh…

Not a huge fan of a crossover that doesn’t have a logical story. However, I was actually really pleased to have this rather than another of those “Sunday style” strips we’ve had since the latest story started. The drawing style on those hurts my eyes, so I’m happy to wait for Frisk on Monday.

I got a good laugh out of it.

Before “The Addams Family” appeared as a TV series, Hanna-Barbera cartoons had recurring characters on their cartoon shows loosely modeled after Charles Addams’ macabre characters. They were called Mr. & Mrs. J. Evil Scientist.

Love The Addams Family. Love this ’toon. Not so happy about the break of the main story at a moment of high drama….
