A lift, no doubt preceded with a, “Puck! How did you get down here?”

Oh, my heart is breaking for Goldie!

The big orang cat looks so scared and lonely.

I like seeing little Pucky’s rain gear falling below his feet. Cute.

Are her eyes open or closed? I can’t tell. Are they closed and she’s wearing green eyeshadow? Or are they open and a lovely green? Poor thing.

Goldie deserves all the love and support she can get.

Puck being carried is always the cutest thing.♥

Oh nooooooo – those eyes! Oh no! Poor baby! At least she’s inside and hopefully drying off, and hopefully she’s seen that the Man is nice to cats. He’s carrying Puck, after all, and Puck seems happy to be carried.

Oh, that poor girl! I know she’s going to be OK, but what a moment to catch in snapshot. There’s something – someone – very important to see in the basement, Puck!

Ha! The Monster Orange Cat is just pretending to be frightened. As soon as they are off their guard s/he will pounce and they will be … hmmn … what would be an appropriate word for “likely to have an unfortunate and inescapable outcome; ill-fated”?

Puck is a brave little soul.I hope Elvis finds Goldie and becomes her first friend.

I’m guessing, from the notched ear, that she was a trap-spay-release kitty?

Lupin won’t leave this story alone, I am sure. He will be in the basement and begin a thorough investigation.

OT – love the Boys surfing, fishing and swimming in the packing peanuts this month on the BCN calendar.

So glad Puck got a lift in the official, Man Powered, BCN carrier! And don’t leave that poor kitty down there!!!

At least the other cat is out of the rain. And in a box, to boot!

Saw Andrea last night. She’s in fairly good spirits. She also thinks her doctor gave her what, in my world, is called a “get off my phone” answer.

Here’s how the “get off my phone” answer works: I do billing and collections for health-insurance claims. I call an insurance company: “This claim denied. It looks like it might have denied for XYZ reason, is that correct?”

Insurance company rep (who is evaluated on how quickly he/she can get me off the phone): “Uhh … sure, yes. Go ahead and appeal if you need to. Thank you for calling.”

In other words, the doctor may not know, or may not want to delve into, more complicated answers, so he’s just sticking with the basic one.

Looks like the storm’s picking up again, or another one is rolling through. That last panel is just heartbreaking!

Off Topic, but the kitten I thought had been adopted out a few weeks ago is back. Just like Shelter Stories, his new housemates were tormenting him so he rejoined my madhouse in the middle of our relocation. I’m glad to have him out of a bad situation and the two little brother cats I’ve been fostering accepted him right away and they’re all tumbling around and sitting on each other’s heads.

Oh, look! Tabitha got into the Peroxide!

Oh I hope someone brings kibble food to the poor cat in the basement. The suspense is killing me!!!

Two things I adore about this trip: Reporter Puck catching a lift home; and how happy and loved Goldie will be before long.
