What talkative topic could Susie be having with Calvin? Inviting him (and Hobbes) to a tea party over the weekend or something?

Oh, I’d forgotten how far this arc goes. It gets even funnier from here on out to the end of the arc, including one of the best expressions on Suzie’s face that you’ll ever see in the run of the entire strip!

Isn’t it always the way. The innocent is “caught” and the guilty get away with it.

This is not a win – win situation. Susie wins, but alas Calvin is left to thinks up scientific names for his dead worm & piece of lint.

Miss Wormwood is not the best example of her profession. Sadly there are way too many teachers like her.

The real question is: “Where do all these buses that Calvin keeps throwing Suzie under come from, anyway?”

I like Calvin’s last line. All buddy-buddy with Susie and then throws her under the bus as soon as there is trouble. The kid’s got a future in politics.

Miss Wormwood would make a great Referee. Never seeing the first offense but always seeing the retaliation.

Learning the important skill of throwing your comrades “under the bus”. Calvin could grow up to be president.

Oh, getting Susie in trouble was part of this arc? I remember him doing that, but I thought that was something separate.

Happened to me during a science test. If you passed, you could go straight to Biology the next year. Had I passed that test, I would have missed out on Mr. Crawford’s most excellent science class!

Mine was Mrs. Chance 3rd Grade a true old school Marm I won’t call her a Teacher more enforcer. Her fav. punishment was Push-ups in the hall Girls Boys good kids or bad, humiliation was her only tool. She told us we were lucky when she was in school they tied her left arm behind her back to fix the defect of being a southpaw
