It might just be that I’m closer to being in my dotage than I ever realized, but I LIKED IT!

Good pun aside, that was my mom and aunt’s (her sister, both R.I.P.) all-time favorite Christmas carol.

It is likely not only the comic strip Bobby Knight who wants to hit SP with a chair.

You don’t need to know who Bobby Knight was to get the joke. The pun only needed the name for it to work.

Saw this one coming before the punchline

They look like Newt Gingrich.

Halloween and Christmas both in today’s strip. Actually, I’m impressed. It’s also an interesting idea to rob a bank only on Halloween.

Pastis must have bee up all night to think of this one.

I spent much of the ’80s as a grad student at Purdue, learning to hate Bobby Knight. The chair throwing incident occurred in a game against us. I remember it well.

I never realized how much Bobby Knight looks like Newt Gingritch. or maybe it’s just Pastis.

People forget that the year Knight threw the chair onto the court, he led Indiana to the NCAA championship

“Tortured” doesn’t begin to describe the effort that went into this “joke.”

Good strip, Mr. Pastis. Don’t listen to the naysayers.

At least this wasn’t eh hunting “accident” Knight was involved in with Dick Cheney.

Great strip, finally one I really like the pun. Whack them all with chairs Bobby Knight!!
