As I said, everybody knows what you meant. “Dumb” has passed into the generally accepted meaning of stupid.

The same has happened to several different words. “Idiot”, “moron”, “imbecile” and a couple of others were originally coined, in the very early 1900’s, to denote varying degrees of mental impairment. For instance, imbecile was used to describe an I.Q. between 26 – 50. These terms are no longer accepted by psychologists and they have all basically fallen into the meaning of “stupid”.

You didn’t know that all caps was rude? That’s ok little boy, just don’t interrupt the grownups.

  3. 1 day ago on Scott Stantis

It should be “stupid”.. Technically “dumb” just means they can’t speak.

Everybody knows what you meant, though.

  4. 1 day ago on Henry Payne

Is that the only thing you can consistently get wrong? If you’re going to consistently lie about something, at least make it interesting, with a little variety.

Obama was talking about how he helped get legislation passed to, hopefully, reverse climate change. How could anybody imagine an Orange Idiot coming along and purposefully destroying it?

  5. 1 day ago on Tom the Dancing Bug

I must agree with Stan. Uhhh…What??

  6. 1 day ago on Gary Varvel

If you’re going to quote somebody, at least get the context right. Obama was referring to the legislations he crafted, and the treaties he got the congress to approve, to help heal climate change. Only an idiot would think he was claiming to be a “Messiah”.

Now we have “the chosen one” (AKA the Marmalade Moron) trying to trash it all.

  7. 1 day ago on Scott Stantis

You’re joking, right? The progressives have had to fix the economic disasters from the last seven so-called conservative administrations dating back to the Great Depression.

I guess you don’t seem to remember the economic catastrophe that Obama inherited. He turned it around and started the longest economic expansion in the country’s history. The expansion that the Marmalade Moron is trying to bring to a grinding halt.

With the approval numbers that the Orange Idiot has now, do you really think the Progressives need a recession?

You might notice that I didn’t call charliecsi stupid.

  8. 2 days ago on Richard's Poor Almanac

Me too. Never let it be said that I didn’t do the least I could do.

  9. 2 days ago on Scott Stantis

You seriously can’t tell the difference between “hoping” for something, and not considering it too high a price if it did happen?? Please tell us you’re not that stupid.

  10. 2 days ago on Clay Jones

    No problem.
