In the third panel, that little blue thing on the display that is by “Lea”, is actually Zebo’s brain. Lea removed it while Zebo was not looking, turned it upside – down and painted it blue. The white stem at the top is the cerebral cortex and a few inches of his spinal cord. . . . . "-—————————It’s all that got rescued of Luann’s papier-mâché mask. That is the straw sticking out.

No No,Brdy. Quite WRONG. In REALITY THAT Object is What’s Left of the “missing” Handicap Sticker that was STOLEN, by Lea from that Poor Lady while she was at the ATM. (See Yesterday’s Strip) This was Just Before Brad and Old Smiley Pulled Up and Went all Vigilante.

But What is REALLY Interesting is the Picture Hanging on the wall to the Right of Dez in Panel, 3 which Depicts in Graphic Detail, What Gunther and Tiffany Did Together after They Finished Their Homework, a few Weeks Back.

Zebo… I really enjoy having him in the comic. Even though “Dad” seems a bit disgruntled, I do really think that Zebo is teaching the students about art, and the art process. I think he is a good teacher…. even with his flamboyance, his over-the-top antics, and his seeming smugness. I like seeing his character here. One of the best additions so far in the Luanniverse since they started college, IMHO.

RB2…. Dave53 may or may not have meant the comment in a derogatory fashion. But, in reality, saying you are creating a sort of “fan fiction” is NOT really all that negative in reality. Much of what everyone here talks about is indeed speculation and conjecture about the meaning(s) of the comics, and a lot of the time this also involves predicting future plot turns. Again, I like pretty much all of your posts and the theories and speculations you discuss… they are interesting to read. I say the same thing for pretty much all of Dave53’s posts as well.

Just as theater classes have productions that parents (and others) attend, art classes often include exhibitions of work that members of the community (and parents, if interested) can view to see the works in progress. The exhibitions give beginning artists an opportunity to display works that they might otherwise not have, if they had to depend solely on for-profit galleries…

“amount of comics where they are annoyed with each other outweigh the romantic comics”.There is a lot of give and take, and maybe some bickering, in any long-term relationship. Frank’s commenting on the absurdity of vacuous commercial hype doesn’t amount to being annoying. And a lot more commentators criticize the absence of something funny. As for “romance,” that may be nice to see, but this is not particularly meant to be that kind of comic.

ReallyBad2 said, @JimT8As shown by LDover, they used to be intimate with each other. Now they just tease and make snide comments. I’m saying that unless Evans wants to paint a picture of a marriage going downhill, he needs to show some good moments as well like he used to. It’s been mainly negative for over a year now. . . . . ."——————————————The snide comments have always been there in the final panel (think Bernice, even Delta). .As I see it, the main tension between the two is that Frank typically accepts Brad’s positions (in respect to growing up and the opposite sex), but he tries to “overprotect” Luann..Nancy does the exact opposite with the two kids.

first, we attack how you infer your opinions but most(if not all) do not attack you as a person ………. as far as I know, NO ONE knows anything about you in your personal real life(and even if you have talked about it, we can’t assume it is the truth, we can just opinionate about what you said about your own real life if you ever did) …………………. second, for the most part, if I give my opinion, I show it as what I think is most likely from the things that Greg drew as part of a plot line, and try to stay away from one gag strip and even in some rare occasions, from possible one week gags that will eventually become not important…………….. and Greg sometimes forgets what he did 10 years ago, and we have to accept changes from what was shown back than(like it will be hard if not impossible to reconcile Shannon, niece of Mrs Lewis from Shannon, niece of Toni Daytona; and in one strip, Toni said she was her cousin before being established Shannon is daughter of Jonah) and so I try not to take some gag strips as permanent indicators of what will happen in the future like some of the banter between Frank and Nancy(BTW, Q and L also banter each other and sometimes Brad and Toni) …………… 3rd, if it is unintentional, I apologize, but most of your posts come as “I am right, no one dare try to say I am wrong or even say I have a different view from reality” and not “I think I have my valid points, but your view might have valid points, depending on perspectives” and most people feel your opinions tend to be based on things never shown OR from selective interpretation of things like (this is just to show how it comes across, not as an actual posts from you) “Luann is dumb because she got a C in her class” and 2 days later we get “Tiff is smart because she was able to get a D in the her class and pass” and we talking the same class

A mother has 3 girls, they all got married, but she wants to know how the sex is, so she says that after the night on the honeymoon, they write a postcard saying how it went.

    The 1st girl writes: “M&M’s.”

Puzzled, the women buys a pack of M&M’s and reads the slogan “It melts in your mouth, not in your hand.”

The 2nd girl writes: “Campbell’s soup.”

Again the mom buys some cambles soup and reads: “Mmm … mmm … good.”

3 weeks pass and the 3rd girl finally writes: “Ford.”

The mom goes to her ford and reads on a sticker: “The best never stop.”

The value of the art object(s) is not what matters in this setting. What lasts, or should last, is what the meld of studio and classroom experience leaves with the art student. What I thought was bull### back then many times turned out to be pearls of wisdom years later. Art curriculums don’t necessarily train you to BE an artist as much as they teach you to THINK like an artist. Graduating rookies in any field have years to master their field, but it starts with the right frame of mind.

Here’s an interesting snippet from the TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE:

“Your Materials, user name and/or screen name will not disparage in any manner Universal Uclick, its Licensors, or their Applications, products, or services and sites.”

So I talked to a trademark and copyright law practitioner.

“Products” obviously includes the comic strips, and maybe by extension the creator(s).

“Materials” covers a lot of turf including posted comments. What is considered “flame bait” is subject to interpretation, but playing innocent bystander while lobbing such bait into the fray is part of the troller’s arsenal.

Of course it’s all up to UCLick to make the call on what is or isn’t disparaging, but if it’s bad for business they will care. If it drives people away, they will care.

The acrimony in this forum pales in comparison to what polluted the Luann forum when United Media’s Comics.com site was running, but similarities abound.
