Free booze and food, and possibly other opportunities, are the only reasons I attended office parties.

Without food and drinks, it ain’t a party; it’s just a group of people you want to avoid.

Online parties are as useless as trying to stea.. er.. aquire picanic baskets online.

Who brings the girls?

Bringing food and beer isn’t the problem. It’s having to eat the same food and drink the same beer you always eat and drink.

As for the same girl ……….. uh, I think I’ll leave that one alone.

On the plus side of the Zoom party, you don’t have to call a taxi afterwards.

I’m getting vaccinated today so 2 weeks from now, I’ll go someplace and have a beer.

Rat doesn’t have a drinking problem. He drinks, gets drunk and falls down. No problem.

“Everybody has to believe in something; I believe I’ll have another beer!” (apologies to the millions who have said that before me!)

At least at zoom parties you can mute people Rat!

There is plenty on the plus side for Zoom parties: beer/drinks of you choice, food of your choice, mute sound and mute mike whenever you want, no need for a designated driver, no getting caught with lipstick on the collar.

Just make sure you don’t have the cat or other animal filter on.

Everybody prioritizes free booze.

Best office party ever? I was being transferred from Sacramento to San Antonio. A going away party was scheduled for me on Friday my last day. Thursday my boss called me and said there was a hurricane about to hit Houston and they wanted me local in case our building got hit. So I jumped on a plane and left that afternoon. I hear it was a really good party.

Ya….. but you can socialize without pants on.

Practically every party I’ve attended the last 30 years have been BYOB and something to share.

Never been to an office party before.

For my amigos from south of the border, to qualify as a party it must include dancing.

And the rest of us see you for what you are, Rat. If Cab Calloway were still around he’d have to change the lyrics.

One other guy and I, back when we were in college, were know to our social club brothers as The Old Poops, because we were not really much for socializing in large groups. But I did not mind “free” beer (except it wasn’t free; we paid for it out of our dues)….
