No, no, son. I respect you and take you at your word. As you start your life of adult independence I wouldn’t dream of sullying the experience by any HINT that I think you can’t make it on your own. Faretheewell, my son! I’d say “stay in touch” but you might think I don’t believe you can make it. Not at all! I just don’t want to embarrass you by turning you down when you ask for….anything.
University Education was free in my day, but so were 60% marginal tax rates. It was a fair trade for those who made money from their learnings. And beneficial to society for those who applied their skills in lower paying jobs that met areas of need.
Tax rates are lower now, and there are subsidised fees for university training. But repayments are tied to income and the debt is only indexed to inflation.

My foot locker would not have fit on the bus. But I did use the bus for the holiday breaks with that change in Syracuse.

Jeff, you’ve definitely crossed a line here: you’re behaving horribly and you expect someone you claim to despise to act maturely and generously.

My nephew, when he was in college, told me about getting “FREE” WiFi. Then I mentioned that the “FREE” WiFi was costing his father $20,000!!!
