Looks like the dailies are later comics and the Sundays are going to be earlier comics that were rerun in the nineties (so right now it’s a rerun of a rerun, if that makes sense).

You can tell because this and last week’s Sunday use the format that Bill used before the nineties when he was allowed to make his own Sunday format.

One of the all-time classics. When that was first published, I pulled it on a girlfriend who uncautiously offered me a penny for my thoughts. I got 57¢ out of her, but had to buy the both of us breakfast. She was a good one…

Hobbes is just a stuffed tiger that’s only alive in Calvin’s imagination. Wouldn’t that mean that Hobbes’ thoughts are really Calvin’s thoughts?

Great laugh at an old antic. Good way to start the day, except it won’t be light for another 2+ hours. Will just have to remember this one when I wake up.

I was once a member of a political party who, because it would embarrass me, I will not divulge. I foresaw that the party was heading down a destructive path and wrote to them about it. All I got in response were letters asking me for donations, which today might be used to pay a certain candidate’s (who will also remain unknown) legal bills.

I sent them a check for $50 and did not sign it. I added a note, telling them that if they wanted my signature on the check, they would have to answer my questions. They sent the check back to me informing me that I didn’t sign it.

I figured that if I could not pay this party to listen to my opinion, that they would not listen to me as an ordinary citizen.

In an obscenity-laced letter (including bad words written on the check) I asked that I be removed from their mailing list. I predicted that their incumbent president would lose re-election to the White House. He did. Clinton won.

They also sent back my X-rated check with the words, “For your records.”

So even $50 is not enough for some people to listen to your thoughts.

I promoted a 3 day weekend the entire time I was teaching – one day to recover, one day to get something done, and one day to prep for the next week. … never got it tho. :-/

I appreciate that Sunday never finds Calvin in church. A departure from many strips from that era and before that regularly set the Sunday strip in a house of worship.
