Marth is the name of a character from “Fire Emblem”.

Not to mention the low temperature

But who is that trying to calls Martha?

Odie should be happy it wasn’t another part of his anatomy getting stuck to the fire hydrant!

Garfield going to just watch and not help him get loose? That’s like people taking pictures to post of someone in trouble than helping them.

He was triple dog dared into doing it.

We don’t have such issues where I live.

Don’t worry. He will drool himself free soon.

Now, I want to ask what you do to free someone’s tongue in such a situation. We talked about it the other night and didn’t come up with something useful.

And now comes the hard part for Odie. Hot water or pulling him out the hard way? Could be messy.

Now why would Odie lick the fire hydrant? Smell, or mark, yes, but lick? I don’t see it.

I would have thought that Garfield would have been smiling in the last panel at the sight of Odie with his tongue stuck to the fire hydrant.

Odie’s tongue is long enough to go inside and get some hot water, one would think.

I thought it would be Jon getting his tongue stuck

“Stuck? STUCK??! STUCK!!!!!!”

Quick Garfield, go pee on the hydrant.

“Marth” sounds like the name of that one person at a family reunion that I’ve never met but yet still knows who I am.

Poor Odie… he doesn’t need Garfield to abuse him. He does it all by himself.
