My comment yesterday to Jason mentioned cat scenarios:

“JJ loves featuring Luddie but doesn’t want to make his work ‘another cat comic’ I believe were his words. He limits his forays to one or two a week and every fourth or fifth Sunday.”

Making me look like I knew something unless of course Luddie shows up big again on Saturday and makes it three.

Seems like Luddie would’ve scarfed down that food before Arlo could even begin his explanation.

Don’t throw those leftovers away. It’s ribeye. If the cat won’t eat it, then the cat’s owner should.

I still ask for a doggie bag. I don’t have a dog and nobody has ever questioned my request.

Ludwig knows!

I thought it was invented in the US. Or is it outdated/obsolete?

Luddie only eats leftovers from a “kitty bag”.

Not very often I don’t finish a ribeye.

He should have said a ‘kitty bag’ just for you.

My cat would jump on that line a hungry lion. She begs for food when we eat. So do our dogs.

He should have called a kitty bag. Luddie would never know.

Around here a “to-go” box is getting standard.

A dog would have shown true appreciation.

Ludwig, what is the matter with you??

I do not believe there is a cat on earth that would not eat ribeye, no matter the packaging.

I ask for a to-go box. Do you still ask for a doggie bag?

Did Luddie touch it? If not, why is Arlo just throwing it away?

My wife told me this story of her mom and dad when she was growing up: they had a mouse in the basement, so her dad got a trap. He got some peanut butter on a knife to use as bait. Before he could dab it on, her mom said not to waste peanut butter on a mouse. He went to wipe it back into the jar, but she shouted, “don’t be disgusting – that’s mouse food, put it in the trash!”

I’m pretty sure I’ve never had any left over ribeye.

I have NEVER seen a cat that wouldn’t have DEVOURED ribeye, or even hamburger!!

Perhaps it’s just me, but the first time any pet I owned who claims to be a carnivore such as Ludwig, Garfield, Snoopy, Otto, or even Dino, and they turn their nose up to ribeye steak I bring home from the restaurant, that would be the very last time such a gesture would be proffered!

I never will forget the time my wife came is with a to go plate of salmon and sat it on the counter. Came back and the cat had opened the container and was eating away at the salmon.

The GF has a cat and a dog. The cat’s fussy, most people food she won’t touch. The dog, on the other hand…I gave her the nickname “Hoover”.

Should have gotten a kitty bag.

My cats eat fish heads when my husband has a bit of good luck at the river. They would straight up mug us for leftover steak.

The cat will only eat leftovers if they are on your plate.

Will you put the rest of my meal in the an Aunt Sally Mae bag?"

“No way a dog gets this; it’s too good my aunt Sally Mae will love it.”

The next evening we went back and brought her with us. Everyone there knew her name.

Seriously, Arlo? With what ribeye costs, you don’t throw it away.

I understand using styrofoam boxes for takeout, but be sure and check if your municipal recycling program includes it. I live in SW Michigan and have to drive to Elkhart, IN, with my styrofoam containers (food boxes, trays, medical chill chests, etc.).

DOGGIE bag…well no wonder the cat’s offended!!

Never should have even offered to the cat anyway.

What is this “Leftover” ribeye that you speak of?

Our critters don’t get human food. They get good pet food.. Tonight it was cold roast chicken with duck heart toppers and a taste of salmon.

People don’t even pretend leftovers are for animals anymore. Just a small box please (or if you are really in the know, a “clamshell” box.
