I washed the curtains in the house and the windows in the car when I first quit. OMG the nicotine (deadly poison BTW) when I put the window cleaning rags and curtains in the clothes washer. Horrific. I guess when smoking I just could have cared less as long as I had my coffin nail.
I am glad I quit too. My co-worker that was still a tobacco fiend, referred to me as a “Born Again Non-smoker.” I despise the smell of the smoke now, but like others, when I first quit, it was an often a tempting STENCH.
