It’s not that evolution is overrated, but that wisdom is underappreciated.

Darwin Awards are not the point, but they are the result. Celebrating those to keep the gene pool health by removing themselves from it in the dumbest ways possible

Evolution stagnated when we started interfering with it. If someone is born with 3 arms or 4 ears or anything else that makes them very different, even if it might be an evolutionary advantage mankind jumps in the way and surgically “corrects” it. Biological progress is dead.

Back when the population was smaller, it was at least easier to get away from other people if you wanted to.

Corollaries to the Uncle Reggie Principle and the DA phenomenon: No matter how enlightened and technologically advanced we become, it is the nature of human nature to ever confound itself.

Reggie is what, a few hundred years old at most? That’s not old enough to give him a first-hand perspective on evolution.

I vote for "Steel Macbook Armor " as I support the Ukrainian defense of their country.

Anybody else like the voice and scenes of “Death” greeting really stupid people in the Terry Pratchett audiobooks?

Is that why some embrace Climate Change, to speed up the evolutionary process?

They seek an answer to the question; What will be the apex specie after humans are gone?

More rain on the Southcoast today. I’m getting mouldy from all this damp. Ick.

The mistake we make is thinking we are the end product of evolution. There is a long way to go.

Noticeable evolutionary changes take hundreds of thousand of years. What they are talking about is social evolution which can change depending on which clique you click. :)

Evolution is not progress to an improved state. It’s a response to external conditions that select for traits most likely to insure reproduction. Intelligence, moral character, etc. may not be part of the deal.

Evolution is fine, they just got it backwards…it was the cockroaches that survived the last mass extinction…and they will again.
