Like most people i can be rather absent-minded at times, but I don’t know how scatterbrained someone would have to be to stuff their cat down the mailbox without realizing lol
With the new mailboxes and their ultra thin slots barely big enough to manage two letters at a time, Opal must have had quite the bother getting that cat in.
I’m hoping this is like that Porky Pig episode, where he was trying to get rid of that dog, and the dog shows back up in a kilt, with all the souvenir stickers of the countries he’d been to, stuck all over him.
I think it’s 35 dollars to ship a cat to Siberia. But I could be mistaken. No worries though, if the cat has a collar with an address or phone number it will be returned for lack of enough postage. (ie the movie Mouse Hunt 1997)
I did that the other day. I threw the package in the sink and the food in the trash. Fortunately, it was dry pasta, and I had another package in the pantry.
This posted comic is not the one I saw in the local newspaper today (Sunday) that my wife bought this a.m.! This is definitely funnier. The one in today’s newspaper titled Classic Pickles and was comparing an aging Roscoe with Earl and ending up with a typically derogatory remark. How that man can tolerate her is beyond belief. BTW looked up “Classic Pickles” and only found the kind in a jar. Maybe the newspaper is cutting costs by recycling comics? I’m glad I don’t have a subscription anymore!
’Taint funny, McGee. Well actually, I guess it is. Fear not, no self respecting cat would willing let someone slip it into a mail box without a struggle so the human would have to know what was happening

On the way to Abu Dhabi…sorry, wrong cat!

Look at the pickup times on the mailbox. If it is 5 minutes from now, Muffin may be OK.

In my mind I picture Roscoe behind the chair, snickering like Muttley. Anyone remember Dick Dastardly?

Once you mail something you cannot retrieve it. At least that is how it is around where I live.

Mailbox? What is this “mailbox” of which you speak?
Daeder about 1 year ago
I imagine putting a cat in a mailbox is even more difficult that putting a cat in a pet carrier.

I know when the mail person opens the mailbox Muffin will greet him or her with teeth and claws, it gets hoy inside them!

How’d she do that without getting scratched and clawed!
ChattyFran about 1 year ago
First, It’s stupid to think she would accidentally stuff the cat in the mailbox. And second, a lost cat isn’t funny at all.

She might have just set the cat down to put the mail in the box and walked away. Muffin might already be home some place.
