I have zero interest in this story. To complain about it isn’t fair.Carry on.

And who is that barefoot lady that will be going to work at that exact same phone scam call center? Will she end up meeting Tracy when the police raid the place?

I would be interested in any device that can trace scammers using false Caller-ID numbers.

There is the little matter of needing a court order. Wouldn’t be hard to get, but it is required IRL.

The device is designed to trace scam phone calls used by scammers who don’t re-route their calls through various, untraceable international sources and who don’t use burner phones, their operations are based domestically, not overseas, especially in our immediate geographic area & jurisdiction using a large staff that they publicly advertise for who work out of big office spaces that create long paper trails.

How can that moron B.O. not remember his son in law’s father’s name after all these years ?

Man he get one spam scam call and they is attaches high tech device to his phone? Must be very privileged guy eh. Any common man will not get this sorta service for receiving just one spam scam call.

There is only one element of this which makes sense. Gertie had started to sound interested and was giving information until that call was interrupted. That might make her worth calling back manually. In fact, it would make sense if they had called back and finished the scam while BO was at the police station. (But, since that would make sense it won’t happen.) The chance of the robo-caller getting back to your number would normally be equal for any phone and it would make as much sense to put it on Sam or Tracy’s home phone. Most likely the scam center will manually call back within five minutes of the bug activation.

What I want is a phone with a button that will incapacitate the scammers phone when I push it. And maybe give them a small electric jolt at the same time. Just a small one. pzzt.

We’ll skip the Sunday reprieve. I thought we’d be back in the office and I was right. Day 3 in the office looking at a chicken and talking about what they’re going to do instead of doing it. The coffee is absent again, which is nice.

There’s not even been evidence of an attempted crime – let alone a real one. Who’s to say they will even call back? Nevertheless, the full force and energy of the TPD is applied to what could be a legit (albeit annoying) sales call. WHAT DRAMA! WHAT ACTION! WHAT NONSENSE!

I should think he knows Lizz. She’s been to his home numerous times, not to mention staying there for weeks to guard B.U. Tiffel when she was being threatened by Pushy Pointer.

Well, Tracy did say if the scammers call you again. I suppose it could happen especially when those making the calls don’t cross check their lists with each other.

Tracy is smart to send Lizz to the Plenty homestead. Walter has a long memory (heh) and is waiting for another shot at revenge.

Lizz looks a little off in panel 2, but says she has time to do the set-up of the special monitoring device on B.O.’s phone this afternoon. Tracy makes his plan clear in panel 3 for Lizz, B.O., and (particularly) us. -Chick Tracy II, too. So, we may speculate about whether this phone tap will work (yes), whether the MCU will raid the boiler room operation (why not?), and who will be swept up there (Susan, Sabine, Audie-all of them). What legalities will follow is harder to guess….

Mike’s getting sloppy…They know roughly when the call came in to Plenty’s phone – they can get the phone records from the telecom company for incoming calls – LUDs – Local usage details. We can guess that gertie was on the phone for several minutes, so there’s be a record. Gee, someone send Mike some “Law and Order” episodes…
