I don’t know what causes it but the effects don’t hit me till 2 days later and I try to remember what I did to cause the problem.

I love admiring people’s front yard gardens. But I would never do the work myself.

At least you get something out of gardening.

Taking aspirin just before you lie down for a long time isn’t a great idea. It tends to pool in your stomach and aggravate the lining.

I need to hire a couple of teenagers to pulleverything out by the roots and lay down gravel,,,too old and stiff to handle weeding any longer.

For those not allergic, for these types of pains, ibuprofen is better.

We’ve switched to only perennials and flowering bushes. Plant once and forget it. And trust the rain to come.

Honestly – I’m in my upper 60s now. I gave up my garden 2 or 3 years go. Too much work and expense for way too little gain.

I do it for the free vegetables; the first tomato costs 35 dollars, but the rest are free…

I hire someone to do most of the cleaning up. I take it easy, one day at a time to get the rest done. And I make growing the plants easy on myself with raised beds and pots. Most beginners do some huge farm garden and the weeds win and garden loses. Planting 20 zucchini is not necessary, you will wonder what to do with them all when they start coming.

No gardening for me… I paint. Yesterday I was on a ladder half the day cutting in the ceiling/walls in the kitchen. Right now I’m beginning to think that was particularly stupid. Nothing could be worth the soreness.

Usually it’s the guy asking the wife that question. If she says No, than the follow up question is a request for sexual intimacy to which she can’t respond that she has a headache….

Take 1/2 the aspirin ( no nothing else actually works as well) before you start working. Do the work, then take the other half with something with caffine in it ( I prefer coke) and lie in a tub of water as hot as you can stand it. Best way I’ve found, after about 70 years of gardening.

I unconditionally surrendered to the Japanese beetles about 10 years ago. I’ve only mowed the grass since. Now, Moles are amassing forces on my perimeters. I fear invasion. Perhaps I can get some weapons from the government?

Next time just apply a generous dose of undiluted Ortho Ground Clear to the whole yard. Problem solved for a year and your backs will thank you.

Down sized to a condo, really missed gardening and natural lighting in the rooms (west facing condo with overhangs), so we moved back to a house. Can’t wait to see what pops up in this yard and to start gardening. I have always used weeding as a stress reliever when I feel angry or upset with someone or something.

We used to do common chores for all the exercise we need. Now we need to jog, go to a gym, have a trainer, run 5ks and marathons – just to make up for what we pay others to do.
