I wouldn’t be so sure about their invisibility to each other. Gordy and Roe were invisible to others, but not to themselves. Of course, they were merely out of phase with our universe so that’s perfectly understandable.

The strip may be an old chestnut, but it’s still good, and so are all the comments.

Hopefully this will improve their relationship, since they won’t be able to keep secrets anymore — they can see right through each other.

I really do pity folks who have to learn English as a second language. The use of idiom is so pervasive that it sometimes replaces formal English entirely.
