how is a fire department s’posed to find a lost pet? shouldn’t that be the police’s job? if Luann’s in a panic, that’s perfectly understandable why she first thought of Brad

Luann would fully check the house before calling Brad. This isn’t realistic. :-/

Luann, go back in the house before Shannon burns it down. You are supposed to watch Shannon. If you want to find Puddles, take her with you, not leave her behind.

In today’s edition of Shannon is the worst, she watches Luann frantically searching instead of telling her Puddles is there. Can they just write her back with her dad already?

Hopefully, by tomorrow, this silly story line will end.

Then we can get back to the soap-opera with Tiff, Stef, Gunther, Bets, etc.

Brad doesn’t seem to understand how much his sister loves Puddles. Luann is really scared for the smallest member of the family and she can’t think clearly, he has to calm her down. It’s nice to see that Brad is the first person Luann calls in case of danger♡. Now I hope she call Jack.

Didn’t we already do this plot line where Luann lost her dog and it turned out it was in the house the entire time? I feel like we’ve done this before.

Lol, this is getting fun and cute. Both Luann and the comments. A good observation that pet owners often view their pets as family memebers. Merge that with this becoming at least a two week arc and it’ll be fun to see where GnK take this one.

We would usually look around the house first and find our dog napping somewhere. But the would ruin the arc here, I guess.

    Okay.

First. Did Luann just leave Stormtrooper Shannon unattended in the house in order to look for her dog? If so, maybe it’s a good thing that Tara got Lu fired from the kids center, if she’s become that “irresponsible.”

Second. This total devotion to a pet. Don’t get Me wrong. It’s touching. Crazy but touching.

In point of fact there was one other character in the Strip that went to ridiculous lengths to “rescue” their pet. That time Les got stuck on the roof while attempting to “save” his cat.

Hmm. Maybe Luann Les DO have something in common!

    (HINT, HINT, HINT) ;-)

This arc is beyond silly. And while we’re talking silly, how about a department that makes its firefighters wear their dress uniforms while they pull duty shifts? Nowhere in the world, I’m pretty sure, does that ever happen. Why does it, here in DeGrootsburg?

Good lord, people, it’s a CARTOON. Ink and paper. If you don’t like the comic, don’t read it. Problem solved. Unless, of course, you happen to be one of those people who just aren’t happy in life unless you have something to complain about.

It’s too late in the week to start this kind of panic. Will it be resolved tomorrow, by the fire truck and rescue vehicles arriving with lights flashing and sirens blaring, only to find Shannon playing with Puddles on the living room floor? Orrrrrrr …. with this arc drag into next week?

Luann left the house before Shannon saw the dog. Luann is a few houses away so Shannon cannot tell her that Puddles is in the house. If I thought my dog was loose outside, I would do the same thing Luann is. Dogs can run away very fast when they are loose.

I can understand that Luann would call her brother, and hope for help from the fire department. Even though her demands are ridiculous. But she is scared half to death at Puddles’ absence. It would have made more sense to call Brad and ask what to DO. But panicky people aren’t always able to think clearly, and I can understand Luann’s reaction. But she should NOT be forgetting her obligation to Shannon! People are more important than pets. I guess the fact that Luann doesn’t have that much experience with taking care of children in a panic situation gives her an excuse, though.

The rural fire department that I worked for as a volunteer years ago told me about the time a lady called for their help because a horse had fallen through her porch. They could not help her as a fire department, but several of the guys went as a private citizens on their own and helped her out. (Just what the horse was doing on the porch to begin with was not explained, lol).
