Elizabeth, do you forget that quickly how careless you were when you were April’s age? :/

Got another solution to the problem, Elly and Elizabeth? Wouldn’t want April to be dehydrated.

This one caught me by surprise. Not used to thinking in terms of non-glass baby bottles. So how do you sterilize that type. Won’t they melt?

Elly. Make. This. Shorter: Watch April every waking moment till you become too exhausted, so we can have a funny punchline like “I just soaked my shorts In spaghetti sauce” or “it’s just chocolate, officers!”

Okay, new rule. Juice is for drinking in the kitchen. Water is for the rest of the house until you learn how to drive a swab.

I know toddlers get into mischief, but it just seems like no one ever watches this kid.

Why on earth would you give a 19 month old child a bottle to carry around with her. When she asks for a drink, sit her in her high chair and give her a glass of whatever—water preferable except for occasional treats of juice which could be accompanied by crackers or cookies. Watch out, or you’ll have a child starting school who still wants a bottle. Voice of experience talking here.

A small swat on the fanny, accompanied by an admonition, would probably solve the problem.

Really, those so-called “family” strips always with the negative view of, not to mention attitudes towards, children. (Other big perps: Calvin and Hobbes – example: https://www.facebook.com/rightmessageimages/photos/685518748466092, Dennis the Menace, Big Nate, Baby Blues, etc.) Kids read those, too. Too bad they have to read about so many kid-haters.

That only happened once with me, My Mom knew how to put a stop to stuff like that. I eventually learned to think for myself, about certain consequences.

This strip is from an ancient time, the B.B.P. era (Before Black Presidents).

Could be worse. I’ve heard of toddlers who do #2 in their diaper, take it off and fingerpaint with it on the walls.

To all those that are calling April a brat and being mean about this need to realize that at the age of 18 months she doesn’t know what she is doing is wrong, she thinks she is playing a game and just needs to be told that she shouldn’t do that and make sure she stays in the kitchen with someone while she is having her drink until she can learn this lesson.I just wish those that hate this comic and are always making rude comments about the kids and Elly and John would just stop reading it or stop commenting. I come to this comics to get away from the everyday stresses I deal with and want to have an enjoyable time and laugh at comics and have nice conversations with sensible people who also come here for the same thing. It is always the same ones who do this so why come here anyways?
