    My favorite was the erector set with it’s steel beams, bolts and nuts. Next favorite were Lincoln Logs. The touch of real wood inspired many projects.

    In the late ’60s Santa brought our kids a truck toy that was self driving and would change direction if it bumped into something. So, I was driven to put it between the stove and refrigerator at bed time. Alas, next morning it was still bumping around in there. Wish I still had it. youtu.be/XLYefZkOMB0?t=1
