No, Luann, sitting on your rear end thinking about what you mean to do (and not doing it) is not pronounced “meaningful life” it is pronounced… something that might be pass the muster of being for a general audience.

Wrong conclusion. But… I love her positive attitude♡. I’m never happy to see Luann sad and full of regrets about her life, but she needs to feel the urge to improve herself ♡. Let’s hope she will found the strength for finish that book, change the oil, make the assignment, clean the room and cuddle Puddles a lot♡♡.

Disappointing to not see an Easter strip. I enjoy the holiday strips.

Could be depression too. When overloaded, personal space and unfortunately hygiene tend to be last on the list. This last year has been hard on EVERYONE.

No Luann, this what’s called " You need to get a life" !

I think Luann needs to change the brain in her head.

Luann is an example of what we call, “Work Inhibited”. She over thinks tasks to the point of having done more planning than the job required in the first place.

In the classroom, a student may be given time to do an assignment (with help available). But, may be distracted by others or have another more pressing task. Waits for her own spot at home; but finds nobody else to walk the dog. Could get started before dinner; but wants to have time to finish in a single session. Later remembers she needs to watch her younger brother as parents have a meeting at church. Later, discovers that she is out of ink in the pen she only uses for that class; and decides to do the work in an early study hall. But an unannounced class meeting has changed the morning schedule. This now results in a late assignment. Too common!

Why is there oil ON her car?

I read “The Queen’s Gambit” way back when it was published. Several times. It’s kind of cool when the whole world suddenly becomes aware of something you’ve always been into.

If the bed is made, it’s not a sloppy room, just creatively cluttered. It’s like a bra’s answer to “Where’s Waldo?”

She is just a blithering idiot. I mean really, the word ditz isn’t even enough. Geez.

Most of us— when we have a random thought that a moment’s consideration reveals to be utterly stupid— don’t share that thought with an entire comic readership.

Whenever G&K draw Luann’s messy room, they tend to prominently feature her “unmentionables” laying/hanging in prominent locations…. and I use that term for the sake of the more sensitive readers here…. Anyway, I’m not sure we really need to see that.

I was going to read comments today bit the Featured Comment calling Luann’s room a pigsty reminded me how much awful comments often are.

Yet another example of why Luann is the real Short Attention Span Avenger.

So where to tomorrow? On to Farrell Mansion and the big dinner prep? A side-line with Brad & Toni to fill a week till we get back to “The Dinner”? Luann, Tara, and Bern ?

It’s amazing how different the standards are that posters apply to male ‘toon characters versus female ones. Over on ArcaMax, Jeremy tells his girlfriend Sara that he’s doing her a big favor by not burping and farting; his room is always a mess; he posted a video of his Dad dancing without his Dad’s knowledge or permission (to make fun of him); and the June 5 ’toon shows him with a whole pizza in his mouth. Yet no one sinks fangs and claws into him the way the do to Luann.

Jeremy is book smart, but socially, he’s learning disabled. Now, Sara. She’s as gawky as a mad stork, but somehow that wacky girl is as sexy as all get out.

Swing and a miss.

They have made Luann the type of young adult that I would work at avoiding because all she would do is piss me off. She says and does dumb things, she never takes responsibility, she slacks off all day and then thinks she’s clever when she makes up a pun while ignoring all the things she’s supposed to be doing.

I think Luann may have ADHD. It would be interesting to have her get diagnosed as part of the plot line…

I usually change the oil in my car. The stuff ON my car I wipe off.
