Worked for my dad. When it was to cold to chop wood outside, he’d get them down to a manageable size. Then take them in the garage/shed to split into fire wood. Which I then got to haul up to the house and stack.

In the Northeast section of the US we don’t need to chop down trees since wind storms have toppled many of them.

But will there be another tree there when those logs are gone?

Got a generator after a power outage that left me freezing for a week. So Sunday my oil burner died. Of course! I’d switch to tree chopping, but as I don’t have a fireplace…..

My uncle Bob once rebuilt the engine to his porsche on the dining room table. It was too damn cold in the garage. :)

Unless that tree was dead for 6 months, that’s going to be a smokey fire.

All that green wood will pop, crackle, and sizzle relentlessly, keeping him awake and spitting hot embers onto his rug. Ah, I so MISS that!

When you cut your own wood, it warms you twice!

Put on additional clothing for heaven’s sake!

Trees, renewable resource to use for construction and heat ! And replant again !!!

Build a door with some of that wood.
