For some people there are only “their” rules.

No! NO! Not that! Anything but that!

I usually just go along with whatever house rules other people use that drag the game out even longer.

It is such a tedious, awful game anyway… unless you’re winning.

AWWWW. Read them from bottom to top. It’s more fun that way.

When I was a kid, every family had a Monopoly set with some parts missing; the part that was always missing was the rules, and everyone had added some “house rules,” so that if you went to your friend’s house and played a game, you first had to go over all the variations you’d ever encountered and find out which ones your friend’s family played by. As it turns out, most of the “house rules” had the effect of prolonging an already long game. It was a revelation when we finally bought a new set, read the rules from start to finish, and started playing by those rules and no others. (The game still went on too damn long, though.)

Only slightly more boring than the game itself

I loved playing Monopoly – guess I must be boring – or easily entertained. lol

Are those avenue colors in the correct order?

reading the rules to monopoly takes longer than an actual game, which records show the longest game lasted 70 days.

I’ll never invite this guy over for double Monopoly.
