It’s more challenging to read it this way.

To paraphrase one of the Far Side comics today, the dog speaking, Careful Jack, I know things about you.

Oh, but don’t you know? That’s how dogs read! When they turn a book upside-down, to THEM, it’s right-side-up! He’s reading Stephen King, dude. He really CAN’T hear you. I get just as engrossed in Stephen King books or books by his son, Joe Hill.

Even more impressive, he’s also reading it backwards.

Back in an algebra class in high school a girl (Devon) was reading a book hidden in her text book. The teacher tells her “Devon, put the book away and do your algebra.” She replied “I AM doing my algebra!” Teacher “Then why do you have your book upside-down?” She looked at the cover and then her face turned beet red!

I’ve dealt with cats in this situation. When I pick them up and move them they make threats and call me names.

HA! OUR dogs are well trained! All I have to do when our younger dog is in my chair in my husband’s office is stand in the doorway and look at him. Then walk over and put my hands on my hips. Then stare at him some more. Then say “GET OUT OF MY CHAIR!” Yep. OUR dogs are well trained!

If you want the best seat in the house, you’ll have to move the dog.
