If only he’d actually attended classes at Wharton, he might have had the common sense to not let the pandemic get out of control and cause a market downturn and all the current volatility.

Slow down testing – they are doing just that. Covid-19 is a voter suppression tactic at this point. If people are either sick or terrified of being sick they won’t go out to vote.

Republican state legislators have been doing exactly that for years. Here in North Carolina, for example, the Republican controlled legislature and elections commission have taken every possible step to suppress black voter participation. And they have gerrymandered the state to an absolutely absurd extent. The system is broken.

That’s been the plan ALL ALONG!!! My local voting precinct was closed Tuesday when I went to vote, with NO NOTICE! I had to go to the county clerk’s office to find out where to vote, but luckily the single voting location in the entire county was in town, where I was, so it wasn’t too difficult to get there and vote, IN SPITE of the attempted vote suppression.

Slowing down seems a wasted effort.. go with an executive order and declare the vote unnecessary formality.. just declare yourself the unanimous winner. Surely your people can get some instructions from Putin or Kim Jong un

Think not that he and the republikkkans are not plotting to interfere into the Nov 3 balloting. We will be hearing of wholesale dumping of registrations, poll “intimidators” in black and foreign national precincts, scattered and hard to access polling locations, lost mail-in ballots, late openings and long long lines in 100F weather.

Make sure your voter registration is up to date and clear. Ask for a mail in ballot for any future elections in your jurisdiction. Get on permanent mail in voting if you can. If your state does not allow permanent mail in voting for able bodied people, work to change that. Make sure you and your friends and family can vote and encourage them to do so. Right now, unless we get a meteor to hit DC, that is all we can do. And I would really rather we vote them out, a meteor would cause too much collateral damage.

Conservative pundit Michael Gerson: “In addition to being a poorly attended political flop featuring a defensive, bigoted, and barely coherent harangue, President Donald Trump’s recent campaign rally in Tulsa was a declaration of surrender to COVID-19. It is not possible to maintain that the United States is in a public health crisis while inviting thousands of people to yell spittle-flinging approval in an enclosed space. [note from Godfreydaniel: Not to mention all that foam from all those cases of rabies!] […]This means that Trump was willing to put his audience and their community [note from Godfreydaniel: And EVERY place the out-of-towners came from] at risk of infection and death. And for what? To bask in adulation? To restart his faltering campaign? Any excuse is ridiculously reckless. [note from me: Any excuse is CONTEMPTIBLE.] […] On public health, Trump is not acting like a pro-life president. […] His morality does not even rise to the level of utilitarianism. He seeks the greatest good for one person, and one person alone.”

Thought experiment: would Li’l Donnie cheerfully accept the loss of, oh, let’s say, a HUNDRED MILLION UNITED STATES CITIZENS (as long as none of them were him or Ivanka), if it meant that he was re-elected? Do I really have to answer that?

Let’s hope the Republicans remember the issues and the lack of their current "leaders’ " efforts in addressing them when election time arrives. Just voting Republican because it’s your party is not a path to solving the nation’s myriad critical problems. VOTE RED for Putin. V O T E BLUE for YOU!

Trump told followers: “People are saying that Frederick Douglas is going to vote for me.”

FOX NEWS bragged that no one attempted to fact check Trump. If no Liberals would challenge the statement, then it was true. Simple logic.
