Thanks for pointing that out. Sorry I missed it. :-)

Congrats on your wedding anniversary Brian. Would a potential DC statehood mean there would be 2 Washington states ? That would be confusing. We’ll have to call them Washington state the elder and Washington state the younger. Or perhaps we can call them eastern Washington state and western Washington state, like the Roman empire. On a more serious note, wouldn’t future statehood for DC mean 2 more likely senate seats for Democrats ? I’m warming to the idea now. Good luck with the Kavanaugh protests. KAVANAUGH should be behind bars, not on the SC.

Kavanaugh is thinking: “I feel liking throwing myself on you, ripping your clothes off and raping you while I suffocate you with my hand. I’ll succeed, because this time I’m not drunk”.

@Dr.whom Any time is a right time to come out about rape. Ms Ford did finally come out now because she could not stomach the thought of her attacker sitting in the Supreme Court. she like Anita Hill is a very respected person, highly educated, and has no history of throwing false accusations around. Ms Ford is a registered Democrat and is involved in women’s rights but there’s nothing ultra- progressive about her. She is 2 years younger than the 17 year old future Supreme Court judge who tried to rape her and failed only because he was too drunk. Ford’s story is a million times more credible than Kavanaugh’s denial. Kavanaugh has a history of lying under oath and is a true far right operative, while Ms Ford has successfully taken a lie detector test regarding this incident. Kavanaugh’s friend’s books, detailing their drunken past and attitudes about women also reveal a lot. You fume about false accusations and the damage they do. Do you mean like the accusations that were thrown at Hillary and Obama ? Do you remember birtherism, how our president started his political career ? Do you remember Pizzagate and all the other falsehoods that lead to Hillary losing the presidency? In a world without this “politics of personal destruction “ Trump wouldn’t have been president now, and Kavanaugh certainly would not have been a Supreme Court nominee. Ironic isn’t it?

To feel violated a person needs to have self respect, and a sense of dignity. Conservative women don’t have either of those attributes. Any feeling of self worth and satisfaction that they have, they derive from pleasing their menfolk. It’s a medieval mindset that has survived from the dark ages and is being nurtured and conserved by the “conservatives”.

I can only assume that you mean the slandering of Hillary Clinton. Yes, and we need no further evidence of how broken our society is than the fact that DONALD TRUMP is our PRESIDENT !

If by “witch hunt” you, like Trump, mean fair and independent legal process then yes definitely. “By any means necessary “ was GOP’s mantra when they derailed Obama’s nomination of Garland. You know, the guy who didn’t even get a hearing.

No means no ? This is from a 2015 article by Mark Judge, the second attacker who was mentioned by Ms Blasey. “Of course, a man must be able to read a woman’s signals, and it’s a good thing that feminism is teaching young men that no means no and yes means yes. But there’s also that ambiguous middle ground, where the woman seems interested and indicates, whether verbally or not, that the man needs to prove himself to her. And if that man is any kind of man, he’ll allow himself to feel the awesome power, the wonderful beauty, of uncontrollable male passion”. Enough said.

“Politics” is what was done to Merrick Garland . Rape is what was attempted on Christine Blasey Ford and what was trivialized by another woman, Lisa Benson. What is happening to Kavanaugh now is due process.
