Alas, the idiots will suffer only about 4% fatalities, and they’ll bring that rate to everyone they come into contact with… so this ’toon is evocative but inaccurate. Almost too bad…

I have tracked the CDC & WHO surveillance reports of the covid-19 pandemic to double check the politicians’ lies. Using the forecast gizmo on the data tab of the excel spreadsheet I have ascertained a CDC estimate of 119,078 deaths in America on 5/30. The difference of my estimate and the politicians’ fairy tales is that mine include the 95% confidence limits. The 95% confidence interval is between 92,845 and 145,311 American deaths.

So, for instance, the model predicted CDC’s death count today would be 67,712 with a C.I. between 65,618 and 69,805. The actual number is 67,456. Any change is not significant to the model unless it falls outside the C.I.

The model’s assumption is that lock down is maintained. If that is not done you WILL see the curve bust out past 145,311 deaths.

QUESTION: Do you think the bosses ( Black-hearted dogs like Jared Kushner every damned one of them) give a fuzzy rat’s ass if it exceeds the death of 145,311 Americans as long as their f*cking dividends keep rolling in?

It’s okay, the people who are actively supporting opening America back up are, for the most part, Trump Supporters, and their loss through death by the “Trump Virus” will be no great loss in any case, those kinds of losses we can afford!

Bad things happen in a non-resilient “trickle-down” economy that hasn’t “trickled-down” in over forty years and wage-earners have no savings, can not work from home, can’t access unemployment as politicians deliberately made it hard to collect to keep unemployment number low, we have not spent anything on infrastructure that would have made access easier, and there are so many unemployed at one time.

Badly managed by the ☠resident and his deliberately, willfully, crippled, incompetent administration, from the beginning, the US is not doing as well as other countries yet entirely too much energy is wasted trying to blame others.

Where’s the bird’s AR-15? Uphold that great American tradition of “I have the right to shoot you dead while I violate your rights” used to justify racism, right-wing fascism, and criminal conduct.

Great cartoon, would have been even better if the cage had several birds with only one holding up the sign. The other birds should be drawn hunched in a corner of the cage desperately mouthing ‘NO” .Those wanting to open everything up are going to take the rest of us down with them as well.

As Rachel demonstrated on her show last night, the area with the most cases, the NY, NJ, CONN area has gone over the hump and is now on the downhill side of the curve but the number of cases nationwide remains steady…. because now cases are spiking in states not practicing proper stay-at-home policies…. this will only get worse until they lock down…. thus prolonging both the disease spread and the economic crisis….. THANX RUMPY!

So many stupid, selfish people who want their rights regardless of the rights of others, been locked down for two whole months, they are the undisciplined whining pussies..if you die of the virus…no sympathy card coming.

We all witnessed the carnage when there were relatively few COVID-19 carriers. Nothing has changed folk.. except.. there are now many many more carriers of COVID-19.. So go right ahead and open up.. back to normal as it was 4 months ago.. and watch what happens.

The “only” saving grace.. is that the hospitals have better supplies of PPE than they did 4 months ago.. but, on the flip side.. those wearing PPE are worn out.

Oh for God’s sake! Let the idiots who want to get out, get out! As long as they stay among themselves, fine. Does anybody else mind if they spread it around in their own circles?

I know, I know, the clowns would spread it far outside their own groups but we can dream, can’t we?

January 2020 is gone, and it’s not coming back. Many seniors won’t want to socialize, or travel, after lockdown fully ends. Businesses who were operating on thin margin (high volume) will find that this thin margin cannot be recovered. The consumer market after lockdown ends will NOT resemble January 2020.

Most Boomers will be smart enough not to go dashing down to the dance hall, and will suspiciously be watching the weekly stats. And Boomers, being close in age to the current fatalities, will remember the sufferings of some friend or family member.

Please don’t expect the Free Enterprise Market to fix this; that’s not it’s reason for being. nor its original design purpose…..

while I agree with the sentiment, how did you get the 4% concept. My fear is that fatalities will happen with people who cant self quarantine, people who have to live closer together ( not only in my NYC hometown)…people who have to care for the idiots. Why only 4% for the idiots?
