By Dyson they are ventilators. But by the REAL ventilators are they ventilators?

Are they pressure or volume delivery? Do they have PEEP? Do they have alarms? Can you vary the O2 mixture? Do they have nebulizers?

Or are they only good for picking up dirt?

Who knows? We can deal with the rat later.

Right now we need to avoid squeezing an ambu bag until the patient either can breathe on their own again—- or doesn’t need to worry about it anymore.

How far do you think Trump can swim? We could take bets.

I just got $200 worth of groceries delivered to my door this afternoon because I clicked “add to cart”. There is currently a week’s delay.

That supermarket is too dangerous for this old grey body.

“For that time it was Lancelot’s fate and Guenever’s to take the tonsure and the veil, while Mordred must be slain. The fate of this man or that man was less than a drop, although it was a sparkling one, in the great blue motion of the sunlit sea.”

Trump is an idiot, who knew.

Let’s talk ventilators, Governor Newsome’s presser today disclosed that many of the ventilators the Feds have sent need repair.

Forget GM making a modern ventilator inside 6 months. A modern ventilator is as complicated as a Rolex.

GM might be able to put out something like the “Bird 8” respirator. I haven’t seen one in use since before 1970, but they did work – sort of. They had a transparent case that let you see that the guts weren’t very complicated. I remember the Anesthesiologist telling me that I should set the rate by matching it to my own breathing. [Sigh, I don’t recall ever actually killing a patient with the thing.]

You better forget the broken ventilators from the feds. Maybe, you can find some Bird’s in a museum or Peru.

So you may have to make do with 1965 respiratory support. That is better than modern ones that are broken —like Trump’s government sent to California.

So now you are an expert on Chinese medicine besides all your other remarkable fund of “knowledge”

Russia has been reporting their cases all along to W.H.O – as of today’s report they have 1264 cases with 4 deaths. Their curve follows the same early exponential growth we see everywhere.

If I were ever to spread misinformation and lies during a pandemic, somebody ought to slap the cookies out of me.

That defense procurement act was meant to coordinate wartime production. So that if something in this state is needed to produce something in that state it will all be coordinated to work smoothly.

Trump is trying to micromanage production to make himself look like he actually knows sh*t from shinola.

But he’s just a con man, not a business man. His “leadership” is as phony as his orange make up. As the stiffs pile up it will become more and more clear — even to the hayseeds. But remember…

“It ís the blight man was born for,

It is Margaret you mourn for."

The reason they give a sidearm to a lifeboat captain is so he can be a dictator and keep as ,many people alive as possible.

We are in lifeboat America where the lifeboat captain is a delusional sociopathic sh*t-for-brains. What is the bill of rights useful for today —-except to get the bodies piled up?

Who actually gives a sh*t about China except to help ignoring that we are up sh*t creek without a paddle?

A modern ventilator is a Ferrari Testa Rosa compared to the “Bird 8” ventilator we used in the 60’s. Like a Model T of ventilators.

GM can probably knock out some Bird 8’s PDQ. Some of them had transparent green plastic cases and you could see the guts weren’t too complicated. There probably are some still working today in, like, Zamboanga.

The Bird 8 – what can I say? It’s better than standing there squeezing an ambu bag. I remember the anesthesiologist telling me to set the rate to match my own respirations.

Can you hack 1965 medicine to treat your Granny?
