   There are many medical reasons, literally involving matters of life and death, that women must have abortions. Non-viable fetus, entrophic pregnancy, etc.. You didn’t mention incest, so either that practice is the norm in your local culture, or you just forgot to mention it. Responsibility? Men are half of the pregnancy equation. Shouldn’t they be made to pay their part? Introduce a national “pregnancy and children’s well-being tax”. Everyone gets to pay for the medical expenses and maintenance of women and their offspring. Since, unless sterile, every man and woman are potentially parents. See how far that goes in this country. Otherwise, leave it an issue between the woman and her doctor. OB doctors are leaving draconian anti-abortion law states in droves, so you may have to forget getting ANY gynecological medical care for women. Unless they travel. Mixing politics and medicine is bad for everyone to varying degrees. The next step will be declaring miscarriage as murder, and prosecuting women as is being done in Central and South America.
