NY did not cancel the June 23 primary. The June 23 elections will proceed. What they did was remove Sanders from the ballots.
They claim the purpose is to reduce turnout. Not kidding. That is the official reason. The reality is that the DNC wants to reduce the number of Sanders delegates at the convention and NY is one of the few states they can “legally” get away with it.
Why? Because those delegates mean power. Power to create the platform. Power to pick speakers. Power to shape the message.
That the artist has been and still is a bitter Sanders person has been clear for a long time. That he like Sanders and all his other followers have chosen to attack both existing sides of foul play and cheating at every turn rather than put in the time, effort, organization, and most importantly MONEY to found their own party to compete is what is damning. Most forget that until just prior to the War of Rebellion, the TWO MAJOR PARTIES were the Democratic and WHIG. The Republicans arose from those dissatisfied with the earlier two, largely from abolitionists unable to move their agenda in congress. It worked then it should be even easier to do today with modern media yet the Sanders people keep crying he was cheat rather than find new standard bearers a built a party rather than an cult of personality. You know the opposite of Republicans making a cult of personality out of political party.
Why does Rall keep Saddam Hussein and Barrack Obama as avatars for this strip? It’s not like he was well disposed to Obama, and for chrissake! Saddam’s been dead for fourteen years. We now have adults in this country that barely remember him.
