What is lost here is the fact that Israel’s current leadership represents the extreme of Israeli politics. These people have the same philosophy as Hamas – from the river to the sea – but where is is Jews who occupy those lands while Palestinians are expelled. They don’t want to negotiate. They don’t care about what happens to Palestinians and they are quite open about that.
Most of the children held are high school age boys who threw stones at Israeli soldiers. They have been held in “Administrative Detention”, without charge, consoul or trial. Some have been held for years.
Meanwhile, Lester’s guy is 78, talks about punishing his political opponents and concentration for migrants. He is also on trial for more felony counts than you can count on all your toes and fingers.
I’ll tell you what. When college students start to parade around with tiki torches shouting “Jews will not replace us!”, I might agree you have a point. And when Progressives start talking about “Jewish Space Lasers”, I might give your argument some credence.
On college campuses, some students are protesting Israeli actions in Gaza. They may point out that Israel has a part in this entire sorry episode. They may ask that isn’t a casualty ratio of 10 to 1 a bit excessive? Criticising Israel, a nation, is not antisemitism. Expressing concern about civilian casualties caused by the IDF is not supporting Hamas or terrorism. You guys do not seem to understand that.
College students have not shot up a Synagogue and murdered Jews. That’s a right wing thing. They’re not Neonazis, those are right wingers. The more right wing you go, the more antisemitic you get.
They’ll let you spell hell now.
