I began college as an art major but soon realized that, while I was good, there were astounding artists and cartoonists out there with whom I could not compete ... so I ended up in social work. My love for drawing, and appreciation of great comics, remains. Wiley rules!

Truth, democracy, compassion, and the like, are the natural enemies of the right. I am genuinely and deeply concerned about my country right now – it is hard to express how worried I am about America today – and I was a young adult in the 60s. The difference then was a sense of hope, and the presence of leaders.

Indeed? A short time spent in logical thought will tell you these things:

People shed the virus primarily in spittlePeople primarily PICK UP the virus touching surfaces where spittle has landed, or by coming directly into contact with micro-droplets in the airSpittle comes not just from coughs or sneezes – it comes from the mere act of talking as wellA frickin’ nylon stocking across your mouth and nose will help reduce spittle settling on surfaces – where it can be passed alongDefenses against the pandemic are multivariate – AND THIS IS ONE OF THEM

    You should be ashamed.

Nothing scares the toots out of Republicans more than the possibility that there could be an outbreak of democracy.

Okay. I see that Szep has been tweeting, most recently on May 15. I feel better. Falling down on updates, GoComics?

Freedom and responsibility are immutably linked. If you set aside a measure of responsibility, inevitably an attendant measure of freedom will go with it. That’s confounded by the fact that responsibility is always, and automatically, picked up by someone else when it’s seen lying around.

Want to maximize your freedom? Maximize your responsibility. Freedom is not freedom FROM responsibility, it is the embracing of it.

Indeed – the right to life being the case in point.

Here’s the thing: Freedom is not freedom from responsibility. Freedom and responsibility are immutably linked. Set aside one, and a proportionate amount of the other goes with it – to be nabbed by someone who understands both. Set aside enough responsibility and you can be locked up for life, or even executed.

Here’s the thing: There’s no one left to whom to be accountable anyway.

You need to look up the criteria for dementia, Mike. Biden in no way meets them. If you are going to count later-life brain farts, you’re going to have a gazillion seniors going after your . . . what’s the word?

Does ANYONE know if Szep is okay? It’s now been 24 days since he last published. Google gives me nuttin’.
