He doesn’t care about the stock market: He’s in real estate (and debt). But I did hear what I thought was a comment about the market in one of his sound bites Thursday. And he has already set up Pence to take the fall. I mean what could possibly go wrong when you put an anti-science person who’s personally waiting for the rapture in charge of a pandemic.

Donald Trump has spent the last three years bragging about a soaring stock market that he inherited from Obama, like he takes credit for everything he inherited (or stole) from others.

Now, Trump’s own mismanagement of our country’s risks in a pandemic — closing the CDC’s department of pandemic control that Obama set up to successfully halt Ebola, silencing public health officials trying to keep the public informed, minimizing and dismissing and ignoring serious risks, mishandling testing procedures, allowing evacuees from the Princess Diamond cruise ship to mix infected and non-infected passengers in direct contravention of CDC recommendations and then bringing them to Travis Air Force Base in Northern California where a nearby civilian could get exposed — has put his precious stock market into freefall.

Dow lost more than 3,200 points — 11% of total value — in four straight days of plummeting this week.

Trump, already of precarious mental health, ties his reelection hopes to the soaring stock market and, as his precious stock market collapses, he is freaking out.

Right wing religious conservatives may see babies in cages as the price someone else pays for their conservative judges and tax giveaways to the rich, but once their own health and safety is endangered, how long before they decide that their own survival — a price they have to pay themselves — is no longer an acceptable price?

It is doubtful that many of the resident’s supporters own stock, or worry about COVID-19 as their longevity and health have always been sub-par. In the era of deep partisan revenge politics, the more that liberals whine and complain (and do nothing else) they’re very satisfied with the resident’s policies and don’t care about his lies.

“Virus Crowned as Winner, Trump Trumped”

    .

Within the sanctum of his mind

(If sanctum such a fetid place can be),

The thoughts of Donald can unwind,

    The tapeworm segments breaking free.

    .

Fed well within the body of his Base,

The segments break off piece by piece,

And flushed into the public space,

From there get dispersed in wide release.

    .

But along bullies a virus small,

Not easily seen, for sure not heard.

It stirs Trump’s tepid rally call,

    His own infective force deferred!

    .

He may be upset but efforts fail

To fire the virus as he’d like.

So he makes a very rushed task force,

    Commanded by his VP, Mike.

    .

Oh hurry, please, the Donald prays,

    Before the Fall election’s here.

I must resume my invective ways

    And soothe the economic fear.

    .

But prayers are useless in this case,

    Nor compromise as Donald pleases:

As with thieves among the human race,

    There’s no honor among diseases.

So PяesiDuиce Very S. Genius has put Ayatollah Pence, the Grim Veeper, in charge of our response to the incipient coronavirus pandemic. I am SO reassured. You just know that the CDC will soon be recommending that we all should prepare for it with thoughts, prayers, and getting right with Jesus.

Myself, I’ve long said that I’d happily give back all of my vaporous gains in the stock market from the last three years just to be rid of the Orange Menace. Looks like I’ll get my “wish.”

Lying hypocrite Trump the abomination said any president should quit if the market falls over 1,000 points in a day. He should take his own stinking advice but the fraud won’t.

So now Mulvaney is saying the dow is plummeting because of “media coverage” of the coronavirus, like the media is supposed to say nothing about a deadly pandemic circling the globe. LOL, I guess they’re abandoning the “Bernie caused it!!” turdburger. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow’s excuse will be.

Meanwhile, our new coronavirus chief sees that bus in the rear view mirror, and is rolling up his sleeves, ready to spring into action – by going fundraising in Florida!

    Trump is a Symptom – {4 beats/line}

    Our body politic is badly diseased;

by deplorable maladies harshly we’re seized.

    A primary symptom’s our president Trump, -

    - who’s why we need a stomach pump,

and why we so often take a dump.

And Trump is the slimy infected pus

    so nastily [oleaginous] o-le-a-gi-nous.

    … Coda:

Malignant’s the snot which the president sneezes.

We’re bigly displeased by his spreading diseases.

We citizens suffer, thus brought to our kneeses.
