Impeach him for obstruction of justice, conspiracy, witness intimidation, extortion, campaign finance violation, violating the emoluments clause, and human rights violations. And those are just the things we’ve seen him doing in plain sight. If his finances were actually put under investigation I’m sure tax evasion, tax fraud, and money laundering would also be fair game.

I believe the Republicans tried to start impeachment proceeding against Obama more than once. It went nowhere and Gorrell is jealous.

Well, let’s see. The President’s essential problem is that he is a narcissist who doesn’t like to do his homework: he avoids reading, he distrusts anyone with an idea that is not his, and he lashes out at his “enemies” (which are people who are not trying to kiss up to him). So yes, there is truth in this comic.

I gave this a ‘like’ because when you strip off the politics, it’s still a true statement.

Well, since it is Congress that gets to decide what exactly “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” means, that just might be good enough, Gorrell. You know, according to the Constitution and all.

The fact is, what finally tilted the House to formally start an impeachment inquiry was the fact that they had an actual transcript showing that Trump abused his office, Trump admitting it, and a whistleblower playing out an exact sequence of facts backing it up.

Gorrell is still trying push that talking point narrative even though it’s been laid out in the open that it’s exactly that.

Wasn’t it the Republicans who said that if Hillary was elected they would open impeachment hearings on the first day of her presidency?

Mr. Gorrell. Do you read any history? Do you read any actual newspapers? Have you read the actual Constitution? #45 was violating the Emoluments Clause from day one. #45 released transcripts (incomplete, I feel sure, but still enough) HIMSELF that categorically show he was asking for a foreign nation to intervene in our elections. In a sane world, he would have already been ejected and thrown in jail for treason – if he were lucky.

Even before the 2016 campaign and subsequent presidency, I thought of Trump as the very symbol of sleaze. His wife cheating, bankruptcies, stiffing on debts, and self adoration were red flags in my book. But, evidently, sleaze is just what some think is the mark of the presidency. Now that’s sad.

You can tell that they have no leg to stand on because every conservative cartoonist is reduced to ad hominem.

Many forget that since Nixon, Republicans view unity and compromise as weakness. Even democracy is challenged with messages like “We’re not a democracy” and “Government [of the people, by the people, and for the people] doesn’t work!”. Even when they control all branches of government, they find themselves no longer able to function in a positive way to unify, stabilize, and add lasting value to the nation and content themselves with trying to make the rest of America look bad rather than working with them to make the country stronger. Gorrell is doing the best he can considering the self-imposed handicaps he has to work with.

No.. he (the trump) needs to be impeached because he broke the law.. and any number of incidental moral values.. but breaking the law is why he needs to be impeached. If.. America does not.. they are admitting laws do not apply when you have a hand picked Supreme Court and Attorney General. Seems to be the American way (under Republicans).. a couple of presidents ago appointing the right folk justified water boarding and extreme torture.
