The problem is that there are far too many people who’ve either never heard of climate change (think of someone who’s eking out a living in Africa somewhere)… or people who actually push the idea this is in fact hysteria.
I suggest a little thought experiment: Imagine that we spend $Trillions cleaning up the environment, cutting not only our own CO₂ emissions but putting programs into place to help those folks who’re eking by… And $Trillions more making sure that it all works. And then (by some miracle of Science) we discover that 90%+ of all the scientists were actually wrong and all we get out of it is a cleaner, healthier, happier Earth, and the billions of people who live near sea level can actually stay where they are. Is that actually a bad thing?
