Pop Rocks. I thought that was my dad trying to be cool.

Pop rocks are awesome! I love that feeling as they pop inside my mouth.

They went through a lot of testers too.

I guess you could they had cheap labor.

Thanks to the people tried to explain yesterdays’ comic to me but I don’t know what a voldemort it. I’m guessing it some sort of sci-fi reference.

Actually, they’re testing the federally mandated retrofit I’ve proposed to have motion-sensitive detonators installed in all smartphones sold in the U.S.

One of the episodes of MYSTERIES AT THE MUSEUM told the story of Pop Rocks. Like many great inventions, they were invented accidentally while trying to create something else.

The R & D section at M&Ms had similar issues with making candy that would only melt in your mouth. A lot of the testers had third degree burns.

Probably should have started with mice and pop-jumping-beans.

But at least his spleen is still okay.

On the plus side the kids LOVE this version, calling it (and I quote) “a blast”!
