OT Upon learning of Georgia’s fondness for Rocky Horror, along with some of the commenters, I had to dig up this animation. I needed some help from other Cleo and Company commenters:
OT…cast came off arm yesterday. Was heaven to finally wash off the remnants of the antiseptic goo they spread all over the limb but the thumb will take awhile to start moving again. First therapy session today and now have a removable brace to use as needed. Hurrah, progress.
My Orbster friends, I need your help now. My fluffbutt mr kitty’s cancer has made a reappearance and the sooner we can get surgery, the better. I can’t think of a better place to post this, knowing that the Mega Orb will make sure to spread this far and wide. Thank you all for reading and sharing!!
Orbsters: prayers, good vibes, boops, etc., are requested for a lady in my Monday night running group. She was out for a bike ride, training for an upcoming triathlon, when she was hit by a car. Her injuries include a concussion, severe road rash that may well require skin grafts, broken left tibia, broken right fibula, a crushed left wrist, a broken nose, a brain injury, and just because that wasn’t all enough, she is presently paralyzed from the waist down, and they are not sure if this is temporary due to the “shock to the system” or if it is a permanent condition.
For anyone to sustain such injuries is horrific, but for someone who is a devoted athlete like her, it is even more so. Her name is Andrea.
I will post updates as I get them.
Also, anyone got some good recipes? The rest of the group is taking care of her husband and kids by preparing meals for them, and I need something relatively quick and easy, but a little more substantive than my usual repertoire, to bring them.
Okay, now THIS hits close to home. We’re in the process of moving, and when my brother and I were at the old house attempting to make a dent in the mess he went to the basement to get the measurements of the basement freezer, since we’d offered it to him and his family. He came flying up the stairs and informed me that something in the basement has hissed at him. Let’s just say that that led to an interesting late afternoon and evening as we established that the Mystery Hisser was a cat, the basement window that we’d spent years telling Dad didn’t close right didn’t, in fact, close right, figuring out a way to keep said basement window closed while Kitty was on the outside, and trying to make sure there wasn’t anyone else in the basement storage piles.
The circumstances that led to this move at this time led to me being too busy to keep up on Georgia’s Facebook feed, so I have little idea what Goldie’s story is beyond she exists. Here’s hoping Georgia didn’t find out she needed to fix a window the same way we did!
at first i thought the “flashes” were the lightening, but after looking again, i’m thinking it could be camera one taking pictures, so at least Lupin will have proof of what he saw, unlike Puck who claims to have seen a Mailman.
