So Luann hasn’t messed around with anyone the whole time this strip has been running for like thirty years? And the leaf blower thing just raises questions nobody can handle the answers to.

Actually, not true! Quilly was lying on her bed and they were making out when his dad called and told him to come home because they had to move back to Australia.

And there was a third time, too. They were making a mask with straws coming out of Luann’s nose or something.

As far as Luann having “no boy” lately on her bed, well. That’s HER fault. She gleefully gave away the last one to Bets earlier this year. And Bets AIN’T about to give him BACK.

Now, about that “leaf blower……..,”

Todays cartoon tells us that Luann is growing up. Something is missing – and Luann is thinking that it’s time.

Some readers who adamantly insist that Luann has to be a “Family Strip” may be anxiously explaining to their 12 year old that Luann’s bed is not big enough for two people.

Puddles apparently heard “pizza.”

Or “homework,” which is typically also on dog menus.

Luann there are names for people like you.

“Leaf blower?” Kinky!

Forget this boring stuff about boys. We all want to know about the leaf blower.

“Leaf blower” doesn’t have to be a piece of yard equipment. It could be a job title, like “dishwasher” or “computer” used to be.

Why was a leaf blower on her bed?

The leaf blower was obviously to get rid of the dog hair.

After seeing the condition of her bedroom in some of the strips; I can understand why she had a leaf blower in there. :^)

Luann totally remove Quill from her mind … This is really sad. Now i want to know why a Leaf blowers was on her bed.

Correct me if I’m wrong…isn’t Luann an adult now…why does she keep talking as if she’s 8?

She likes Gunther but I don’t think romantically. Bets fell hard as soon as she saw that app. He is a dream come true for her, our dream a smart, hottie nerd girl. Actually MD now that Gun(ther) is getting his codpiece stimulated and is pretty officially in love, Luann is possibly a little envious. Not in a bad way, rather wishful. The wise thing is to wait and be patient Lu, See I would be afraid that it Luann gets a serious—NOT QUILL UGH—male interest it might mean that Greg is about to retire. Maybe not, Karen may carry on, but it will always be Greg’s other baby.

This is the feedback for Luann I think, Gunther is doing pretty good in the romance department, including intimacy (yes I think they are doing it, or are very close, and for young adults being close means doing it eventually) but she is back to where she always is, boyfriendless. A healthy young woman. I told MD in my responsive though, if she gets really serious about a boy it might mean Greg is contemplating retirement, but Karen might carry on. Greg’s name would be on the strip, but Karen would do both the story lines, and the drawing. Which means either she remains boyfriendless, or she has the level or career, marriage, moving through life. I hope that happens. I, along with all of us, am addicted to Luann.

Sounds like Louee is overdue for a trip to the Adam & Eve store.

Because if there’s one thing that pretty 19 year old blond girls have trouble with, it’s getting a boy into their bed.

I have swept the floor with a leaf blower. Worked pretty good. I used to sweep my school bus with it. It was especially good for all the food and wrappers they crammed between the seats and the sides. Kept down ants.

Leaf blower? She was trying to style her hair a la Tina Turner.

At age twenty-ish, Luann would be talking about a “guy,” not about a boy.

Trying to remember the last time Luann had her own story arc that didn’t just lump her in with other characters, like the camping trip.

That is indeed puzzling why Luann had a leaf blower on her bed.

What’s surprising to me is that Bernice was actually paying attention to what Luann said. She doesn’t seem to do that very often.

Well I think in another parallel universe Luann is married to Jack and has kids and is very responsible caring person. Maybe yet another universe she is dating Jack and they have been on her bed many times.

My dirty mind immediately turned to a line from West Side Story, but the action is not fit here. Suffice to say, Bernie has made a point. Leaf blower?!

A short summary off Luann’s history on her bed: lay, laid, lied.

A leaf blower. Hmmm, now that’s something Xaviera Hollander, the Happy Hooker, might have included in her toy closet.

Above someone mentioned that if Greg retires, he might have his son do the artwork for the strip.

Greg had mentioned that his GRANDSON might take over the drawing, but some time back, Greg had his grandson (who I believe is a UPS driver) actually draw the strip for a week or two. Let me tell you, that would be like having Mell Lazarus (Momma, Miss Peach) draw 9 Chickweed Lane.

The shock might not be healthy for some of the older ones here…
