   If Batiuk wanted to surprise end this strip (or at least get rid of Ed to change this totally into Funky Winkerbean 2.0 like he’s trying), having Keesterman “accidentally” back over Ed on Saturday wouldn’t be a bad way to do it.

   I’m not crazy about Gunther’s costume, but more because he’s not Dahl, but rather one of Dahl’s books. Dressing up as the author would be one thing, but walking around with a book cover around your neck isn’t the same to me.
