I think it’s great! You can still do a lot with their relationship. The blockage was getting boring, and making me almost hate Sedine enough to stop being a Patreon contributor.

If this strip is any indication, we’re not gonna see Hubbs know the truth for a good long while. GOOD! Some jokes tend to get stale or run too long, but this one still has a lot of potential. Personally, I can’t wait for Ellie to lose control and kiss Hubbs square on. I want to see how he’d react.

I guess she and Sam must have had some romance in that bed, so much so it seeped into her dreams! XD

Well it wouldn’t have ended there, he only got the wig, he still has to remove the rest of her “disguise”. Honestly Sedine you woke up before the best part. ;D

Not nice of Bea to tease us, but I hope when the big reveal does happen it’ll be like this, sweet and romantic. The story will of course be different in context, but I’m sure it’ll be beautiful no matter what article of clothing Ellie has to lose to show she’s a girl…

I wonder how much longer Bea is gonna drag this story on.

As if Hubbs is not going to have an aneurysm when he finds out his little buddy is Ellie.

The tension is what makes the story great. ‘We’ know (but we see both sides)… She knows (and wishes he did)… He is clueless (but wants what he can’t see)… Everyone else knows (except the parents) and are watching it like a rom-com (If they say anything, then it is like the movie is over, and it is too entertaining).

Okay, just a minute… your romantic dream is for Hubbs to NEVER find out about “Al?” (As Bullwinkle would say, She sure has some funny ideas about fun…)

Has to be a dream. Hubbs is too dense to figure out something like that—-even if someone tells him it’s so.

Each panel a treasure. Ellie’s face in panel one. Her clinched fists will stay that way through the next two “white space” panels, which give her plenty of room to shake free those luxuriant locks. Our love birds dance in the moonlight. As if. Sedine wakes from her (and fans’) dream to confirm that the gender confusion is far from finished. Even with bed head hair, Sedine looks marvelous. More of the good stuff from BeaR.

Sedine’s and my idea of a romantic dream are really really different.

Incongruity, yes. flying through trees the one moment, then skipping in sandals the next; breathing underwater, oh joy

How does she get all that thick blonde hair under that short dark wig? Another example of “cartoon physics” I guess.

Nah, that would defeat the Creator’s (“May Her brush ferrules never slip!”) plan to make this the longest comic story arc since The Katzenjammer Kids, or possibly the Bayeux Tapestry, currently at annual episode 941. The very oldest, Muff & Jub appeared in the Lascaux Caves’ Chronicle Sunday funnies starting in -16,878, and is still being published, although very, very slowly.

Love this comic – not really comic, more like graphic novel. Went back to late 2017, and now have the back stories! Please, Bea – keep Hubbs and Ellie together! You can string it out as long as you like – I know the requited love will be epic.
