   Hope all goes well with his cataract surgery. I’m putting mine off as long as possible because I’m a combat vet and was in a knife fight with the blade going back and forth between our faces. On that surgery, they strap your head and arms down so you can’t move. I would have a flashback if he brought the knife to my face and scream. I read eyedrops are being developed to use instead of the knife. Happy Thanksgiving.

   The police told me it’s common practice of the street gangs in LA county to induct a new member by having him steal a car and run over a pedestrian. It’s how I lost my wife of 22 years. My son was only 8. I know it’s hard thinking of how to put humor into your strip but sometimes, it’s hurtful.

   My combat vet friend lost his service dog to old age. It was like a family member passed. After grieving he got a new service dog through the VA. And …. it’s good to see him happy again. Sorry about your loss.

   My closest friend at work was a part time travel agent. His only daughter, their only child, wanted to be a flight attendant since she was a little girl as they traveled a lot. I went to her graduation when she got her wings for Pan Am. She looked great in her classic uniform. She lived in London with Pan Am roommates. We were in our office Christmas Party when we heard the news about Pam Am 103 being blown up. He called her roommate friend who confirmed she was on that flight. I caught his wife when she fainted. He had to take a medical retirement as he blamed himself for her getting that job. They found her laying under a tree in Lockerbie, Scotland. She had no marks from the explosion on her. The following Christmas I had a call from my friend. He was at the cemetery with a handgun and was saying goodbye to me. I talked him out of it and drove over and took his gun and gave it to the police. He is doing well now. Funny how an image can bring back all those memories.

   It took me 6 years to work my way through college. This apron burning reminds me of when I graduated and quit my part time job. I hope you will continue the story as I greatly like your characters.

   So Hubbs was not a dream sequence. He knows Ellie is a girl but she continues with the boy wig when she is with his football friends. Are we going to see her in a dress on a date with Hubbs?
