I want to see a separate comic strip focused solely on Dill’s brothers.

CHICKENWIRE, functional and a great name for a band. They should use it.

Say, Dill. Your brother wouldn’t happen to be one of the Good ’ol Boys now, would he?

I love Alice’s take on Petey’s announcement. The older sibling as model citizen thing that little kids so readily gravitate toward.

Petey, playing the oboe in the school band, really elevates him to Hyper Geek status!

Is it just me, or is Dill running to catch his own kick in the last panel?

Brings to mind the Bob’s Country Bunker scene from “Blues Brothers”. “Oh, we have both kinds of music here… country AND western.”

The oboe has a lovely sound, I personally think it’s closest to the human voice.

Back when I was making my living as a soundman, I did play a few places that had chicken wire (of course, as the soundman, I wasn’t behind it).

But I worked more places that should have had it & didn’t……………………

In Marching Band, we put our oboists on saxophone or cymbals.

I would advise using plexiglass instead of chicken wire, that way the front row will be shielded from all the spittle coming from the woodwind section.

Dill’s brothers! They deserved a comic strip of their own (behind chickenwire)….
