Megan advised; “Watch this street until there’s a gap in traffic- then dart!” They ran across the four lanes in a dead sprint, never knowing the person in one car was thinking “oh, go, kitty, go!” or how relieved another was when they made it to the other side. “Now, tell me more about the house, the people.” “Older man and woman- good people. They never caught me, but they liked to leave the back door open and food in a dish. I usually ate and left but sometimes I’d sneak into the living room and lay under their couch when they watched TV.” Megan asked; “Was the food just for you, or were there other cats?” Tre-C thought for a moment; “You know, I always figured it was for me, but there were other cats there- in that yard. We never fought, but there was an all black shorthair named Jet; she and her boy Andy and girl DeeDee. And a letch of an old tom- I forget his name.”

The July bug is a pain in everyone’s furry butt, but it could be worse – could be his cousin the stink bug! Those guys should be showing up by the dozens around here any day now…
