Man in black: I guess some judges have more difficulty finding things to do in retirement than others.

At least he’s providing a service or a product…questionable as to value as it is. It could be worse; he could be a retiring General Officer (Generals or Admirals) from the military armed forces… They have to take classes on how to integrate back into civilian life. Some even have to learn to drive again because after years or even decades of being chauffeured around They have no clue how to handle traffic. -Things most adults do automatically they need to learn, like opening their own doors, standing in lines for tickets or even ordering from menus served up by retired Judges…
I love it that you have to order from a witness stand that the judge can look down on. But I can’t imagine that a hot dog from this handcart would meet health codes; where’s the rotary machine to cook it? And where is Hizzoner’s permit for obstructing the public right of way?

Straight to the heart of the whole ‘Free Speech’ vs. ‘Beliefs’ debate like an arrow. In three lines of succinct, beautifully-crafted words I am stunned, delighted and enlightened. Deep thought invited regarding the multiple implications. Thank you, thank you indeed._______________

I just figured with “mandatory minimums” he’d have never been able to retire, or maybe now will just never be able to leave the bench behind?

Your pals, the little green men on that flying machine landing in back of you? They want you to return with them to your home planet.
Go peaceably, now. You don’t want to find out what President Trump will do to you aliens if you stay put.

How DARE they let a judge retire?! As seldom as a new one is appointed (AND confirmed)!
