“They were warning shots. I didn’t want to hurt the dame before she paid me.”
geez, he’s a lousy shot.
nice knowin’ ya, Tracer
You know a detective is bad when it’s Calvin.
That’s a real reason for real trouble!
Quick draw McCalvin. Managed to fire and reload a dart pistol three times. Impressive.
Calvin, what is UP with you?! Firing at your mother!!
Even more impressed that Calvin drew with his right hand, but fired with his left!
a private eye shooting at his client??? jeez, grow up calvin
“Have gun, will travel”….. Very, very fast…..
and next strip his dad, at the end of it, will be talking to him, but he will be thinking random stuff i forgot
In real life, in tomorrow’s edition, mom and dad would be standing at Calvin’s grave
what a bad shot
Oh god Calvim you need more bullets or your DOOMED !!!!!
She gave him time to reload? A squirt gun would have fixed that.
I like writing this genre.
I don’t know how the broad dodged the bullet, but she was one quick babe. Normally, I like fast women, but this skirt could put the moves on. I took one quick gander at the angry look on her mug and I knew it would be curtains for me if I didn’t hoof it outta there and pronto. My reputation was headed towards the crapper. That gave me an idea. …
Just had to add fuel to the fire, huh, Calvin?
This answers my statement from yesterday. A; he Would use a .45 pistol and B; he missed considerably.
Love this arc! Brilliant use of both styles!
Was corporal punishment still acceptable in 1991? If not, Mom’s about to become a child abuser.
Every once in a while, play gets real. Quickly and Violently. …Run Calvin! Run!
You know how they tell you not to incite an animal…….well, ‘Calvin’ has just incited the ‘Mom Animal’ which is worse than a regular animal mainly because you live with it ! ! ! ! !
Ain’t he a stinker!?
Dont you think that Calvin’s reload speed is about 1 second. What a trooper :)
I don’t Mom wants to discuss philosophy, Calvin.
Funniest arc ever…great artwork with Tracer Bullet too
That gun must reload quickly.
R.I.P Calvin6 yearly old I think, maybe 5.
He should have at least been “packing wet”. :)
Even going back to the time when parents were allowed to spank their children, I don’t think I ever heard of/saw a mother rolling up her sleeves and balling her fist!
calvin is 6
Cue the pearl-clutching and overblown outrage over a comic strip that has the temerity to show a child with a gun, in 3… 2…
Don’t leave the weapon at the crime scene!!!!
This really isn’t going to end well.
If you’re gonna shoot me, you best not miss.
Better that he is quick footed!
This comic stopped being drawn, because mom was either committed to an asylum, or she had a heart attack and was submitted into the “12-step Calvin Program” we all have been a part of. Either way, she drooled alot, and spoke of her college days with tear-filled eyes… the ones before she met her husband.
“Feet don’t fail me now!”…
Watterson’s drawing skills are awesome.
Calvin needs a posterior attitude adjustment.
Let’s see. That behaviour always works on TV.
that was awsome but i expected death
Calvin: How to make a worse situation go to worser in 9 nanoseconds…
Love it. He does a better Raymond Chandler than Raymond Chandler.
Tracer Bullet’s marksmanship definitely leaves a lot to be desired…
Calvin’s one of the few kids that could fail a background check at age seven…
I’ve always thought that if his parents had a clue about what was going through Calvin’s head, they would have a better chance of understanding some of his behaviour. I always had difficulties understanding my youngest, UNTIL he was diagnosed as having Asperger’s Syndrome (a milder version of autism). This helped me learn to be more patient and actually act as his advocate when needed (not that I wasn’t on his side before.)
If gun control is the ability to get a tight shot pattern, Calvin doesn’t have it.
Just further confirms Calvin’s guilt.
I love the detective strips
Wow. The first comic I’ve read with a gun! Bill Watterson is fearless!
